May seem a bit crazy, but this thread is inspiring me to go see the Bucks elsewhere, other than home games, within reasonable driving distance. They play at Indiana, one week from this Saturday, on the 21st. If I have no other plans, I'm debating going down there for the night, it's 3 hours from here. That's reasonable, with a hotel stay. Packers play the Vikings at 3:30 the next day, I'd be home in time to watch that. It's tempting.

I'm going to the Bucks/Hornets game when I go to Charlotte in January. It'll be my first road Bucks game so excited

Thought I would start a thread to see if there were any other Bucks fans in Denver.

Recommendations for pregame activities encouraged. Good bar spots for good beers, pizza, burgers, wings, etc.

I do know there's a Wisconsin bar called Swanky's. Probably stop by there for a beer.

We got 1st row seats in the Bucks bench corner, so should have a good view of the action.

Hit up the Ian's Pizza if you're looking for Bucks fans. ;)

Had no idea that Ian's pizza expanded out of state.

I like Ians, but don't love it. Will probably skip something I can get at home. But, thanks for the suggestion.

Ian's Pizza Denver is better than the ones in Wisconsin, food quality is a step above due to everything getting prepped in house. Trust me as a wisconsinite who even just likes Ian's Pizza, you gotta at least check it out. Right down the street from swanky's, and they have Beer! Right across the street from Coors Field.

That stuff is besides the point, I'm so excited to see my Bucks play. So happy I get to see Jabari play, I was scared I'd have to wait. I've been out here for 2 years, but I've seen the past 2 bucks nuggets games out here in Denver. Including Larry Sanders last good game as a Buck. I remember people looking at me like I was crazy for being a Bucks fan.

We got a nice group of 8 going to the game, should be a good one!

I was thinking the same thing. I'll be up in Minneapolis later this month (for the Packer game), and was really hoping they'd be playing the Bucks.

I need to take a peek at the schedule and plan a game in Chicago or Indy. Never been to a Bucks road game either. This is the year!

I have a real difficult time with being in the United Center, but a friend has Bulls season tickets, so he takes me to this game, if I want to go. I went last year for the first time in years and was quite surprised at how many Bucks fans made the trek. I'll be going to the game on January 5th here. The more Bucks fans, the better. My friend's tickets are 300 level, but first row - I'll bring my Bucks flag and hang it over the railing. Cam Newton won't be able to reach it from there, and same goes for that runt pissant Benny the Bull.

I'd like to see the Bucks elsewhere again. I've only seen them at the Cap Center in DC (yeah, quite some time ago - we had Sikma still).

Interesting information on Ians. I always feel the crust is too rubbery. I don't notice it when I'm drunk eating it, but if I'm sober, it feels like it takes forever to eat a slice and my jaw literally hurts when I'm done.

Hit me up on twitter if you guys want to grab a beer before the game.

Do you have kids? If so, casa bonita is worth a visit. If not, don't worry if you can't fit it in.
Its not the best time of year bcuz i bet the aspens are done, but you could head up north a bit and go to estes park and then on to rocky mountain national park. Gorgeous, and isnt much more than an hour or so from Denver. You could go in the morning, see a lot in half a day, and be back well in time for a rest, dinner and the game.
Boulder is also really worth a visit- really beautiful and unique city. Its one of a kind.

No kids. Staying with a buddy from college in downtown Denver. Meeting up with some high school friends, my cousin lives in Boulder. Definitely will be looking to go do some hiking on a day trip on Thu/Friday.

I love Denver and plan on buying a second home there. 16th Street is great and reminds me of State Street... plenty of places to eat, drink with great vibes. Good shopping and in the heart of downtown.

The pot thing is really no big deal there at all. It's quite contained, clean and quiet, however abundant. If you plan on that, many of those shops close at 8pm or 9pm. It's worth a visit to a nice shop just to see how they're run.

Depending on how much time you have, take the drive to Red Rocks Park. It's gorgeous and fun to hike around. Also not far from downtown.

Enjoy your trip and I hope the Bucks give you a W.

I'm sure your friends will probably have spots they enjoy, but in case they don't, here's my research from a couple years ago.... I personally did the Pawnee Pass hike (was amazing, strenuous and long, however) and the Lost Lake hike (which was very pretty, especially wandering off the side trails by the stream).

Not sure your schedule, but Dazzle Jazz downtown has really great food, including an amazing Sunday brunch, and of course they pretty much always have some kind of live jazz. It's really a fantastic atmosphere, and the owner is from Wisconsin. If you can't do Sunday then I would recommend checking out their website to see if they have anything going on while you're there.

Otherwise, you can't really go wrong if you're in Denver and Boulder. Their craft beer culture rivals that of Wisconsin, and they have AMAZING legal bud. You should have fun.

I went on the Bucks bus trip last year to Chicago which was fun and strangely found majority of the fans were pretty chill compared to the obnoxious clientele that seem to head to the BC. It was a good place to watch a game. You can tell the arena is getting somewhat older though. It seems way bigger than the BC in size.

As for Denver, seems like a cool place to visit. We've always talked about going. There are different breweries, etc. I don't burn the chron but that seems to be an attraction for those that are into it. Enjoy & get a win!

I agree ... the Bulls fans in the UC are totally tame and laid back, compared to the motormouths who infiltrate our house. Hmmm ... the less I say about all that, the better. One really cool thing, though ... if anyone does choose to drive down for the games in Chicago, to avoid the hassle of parking in the UC lot, getting out in bottleneck traffic, etc. - there's a bar called Park Tavern on W. Jackson Blvd - there's a huge parking garage across the street from it. I park in there (I think it's $10 or $15) and then Park Tavern has a free shuttle bus to and from all UC events. It's real close to the UC and he takes short cut routes on side streets, etc. In addition, you get back to your car and you just hop on to 290, and you're smooth sailing, no matter what direction you're heading in. Absolute piece of cake.
