Everybody airs the ball once in a while... Both Kemba and Batum had aired it once or twice this season..

I just don't get why ppl are so knee-jerk on those air-balls.

MKG is really the only player we have that does fastbreaks often, he routinely got the defensive rebound and went full court for a layup or dunk.

I really look forward to seeing MKG play - I love his game

Lin"s first year in Houston they were the first in League in pace and in the top five in defensive rebounds. Asik was a monster on the glass and def rebounds were almost always converted into fast breaks. That was their strategy since the team did not have the talent to compete in half court

The Rockets began to slow down after they acquired Howard.

The same thing happened in NY when the team transitioned from the D'Antoni coached Knicks to the Woodson coached team. Lin played well throughout but was never as electric as in D'Antoni's fast paced offense.

It's odd to think about - Lin is a much better player now than he was in NY or Houston but he may never again have the 38 point games like the one he had against Spurs - without Harden - his first season in Houston.

I'm not sure if it's tentativeness or if we are simply seeing Lin trying to adapt his game to how Clifford wants the team and Lin to play. It's cool though -I do think he is going to have a good (although probably not spectacular) year and as long as this team continues playing unselfish basketball it should be fun to watch

Actually, they scored on fast breaks both on opponent miss/rebounds AND on opponent makes. They would quickly inbound the ball and run a fast break with Lin launching a football pass the full length of the court to beat the opponents down the floor. Most teams require a defensive stop or steal or grabbing a rebound to initiate a fast break. But that 1st year Rockets team ran fast breaks regardless of opponent make or miss. Even after the opponent successfully scored a basket, they treated the ball the same way and ran a fast break. The leakouts, quick inbound, and Lin's full court passes meant uncontested fast break points before opponents got back even after opponents successfully made a basket, not just on misses/steals.

They didn't need a defensive stop to initiate a fast break. They did it off opponent's made baskets as well.

Fast breaks are demoralizing to opponents. Opponents have to work hard in the half court, sometimes taking up the full shot clock to grind out 2pts. Only to have all their effort quickly erased on the scoreboard with an uncontested layup or dunk on the other end.

Interesting to hear the Wolves game commentators call him "crazy good" on TV. Maybe it'll repair some of the damage done in public perception by the horrible tanking season last year under Byron Scott.

The two girls screaming on TV:

Judging from the maple leaf shirt and their tweets, it seems they traveled from Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada just to see Lin in Minnesota. I guess they got their money's worth with everyone hearing their screams on TV every time Lin scored

Lets just assume that is Austin Daye. Or Antonio Davis who has come out of retirement.

Or maybe he says "No of course its not Anthony Davis, that would be crazy to bring him off the bench, Its Andre Drummond."

Nope. He missed two WIDE open 3s in the 4th. One was an airball and the other was front of the rim (if I remember correctly).

you can watch his attempts here

I'd double-check, but those vids dont play for me at work for some reason.

YES, DRAYMOND GREEEEEEN >>> Anthony Davis in favor to Linsanity's system

AD is not a legit defender under the basket yet!! He would fit into the starting line-up after TD announces retirement thou.

Yeah, i heard those fans on TV too.... i just assumed they were the few asian girls living in Minnesota.

The best quote I have ever heard from an NBA announcer was tonight from the Hornets announcer, "The Knicks has seen this type of performance before and they had a word for it…"
"You can't stop Jeremy Lin fans. You can only hope to contain them."

Arc Awareness

At 1:30 of highlights above, Lin has Porzgod 1v1. What happens? Lin beats Porzy to his left. Lamb screens for Batum on weak side. Get to the corner Batum! Present yourself. Goddamn man, did you ever watch Ariza with Wall? Allen with Rondo? Novak during Linsanity? Sprint to the corner so Lin doesnt have to make a miracle thru-the-forest pass.

Arc Awareness.

advanced:
Linsanity in NYC: USG% 28.1 TOV% 21.4
Linsanity in CHA: USG% 26.4% TOV% 14.2

per 36 min:
Linsanity in NYC: FGA 14.7 FTA 7.0
Linsanity in CHA: FGA 15.0 FTA 7.2

Lindubitably, Lin is finally back to his old form and being EVEN MUCH BETTER!!! :D

He has always been a scoring-PG from day one but both Mc Hail and Byron Stupitt used him as a pass-first PG.
