This. My point about the 2nd half was that he didn't mail it in which is easy to do when it's clearly not been your night.

What choice did he have? He went from a very slow jog, to a jog. The effort was still very low. What it looked like to me is he went from being super depressed and uninterested to a oh crap, I have to at least make it look like I'm trying or coach is going to bench me. He made more shots in the second half, and put a little more effort, but it was almost non existent everywhere in the first. His defense was horrible in the first half. He left Blake wide open on many plays, and never sprinted back on defense, even if his man was the one who did. We must have had about seven mouse in the house switches for him, and took advantage of none of them. He was sufficiently guarded by Chris Paul, and often couldn't even establish good position to get the inbound pass. Could not seal his man. It was pathetic.

Ok, enough about Keiff. If he doesn't step up his game, then we need to either bench him or trade him. I'd rather see PJ and TJ in the forward positions. At least they try.

I really didn't notice that Monday. I'll look for it tonight.

It's crazy, but he had more fire on the summer league a few years ago than he does now, and was taking as many shots, and from similar places on the floor. To me it just seems like he doesn't care. Hopefully it changes and he pulls that stick out of his arse.

'MoBro on a stick' will be served into Dec.... but then he goes. I can't see any reason to think he has changed his mind. I'm convinced we got a civil Kief for a future trade agreement. Its only a matter of time.

So if we know this situation, other teams should know as well. Therefore they shouldn't give any player in Markieff's value for a trade like they didn't in summer. How can we trade him for his value? If Morris and Suns can't convince us, they won't convince other teams either.

In the end, all that matters is his on-court production. If he's balling with 18/7 then we'll probably get close to fair value but if he's stinking it up then we'll get scraps, regardless of whether he's just putting on a civil act or he's truly turned the corner.

Last four games Kieff is averaging close to 15 points, 7 boards, 2 assist, and 1 block a game. Would like his points be more towards 16-17 and maybe 7.5 boards per game but the 1 block is nice. Would also like his assist to get to 2.5 as well :D

I would LOVE Kieff to run some switches and make Kieff post up Mook, he'd kill him inside...

He was actually pretty locked in on defense for parts of the Kings game. Very encouraging.

I remember one particular fastbreak that Chandler had given up on but Kieff hustled back for to challenge the layup.

I don't think he necessarily is but he's just not as good as he was last year. Is it a matter or interest? Maybe.

I think it's engagement. We've been letting our guards go get theirs and pick and roll with Tyson, Kieff just kind of stood around waiting for a pass. This last game it looked like we were giving him the ball more in the post (though, not the best decision against the Pistons, even Ilyasova was a lot more sturdy post defender than I realized), and though he shot 42%, if you take away his 4 3-pt misses, he shot 52%. I think it's a matter of getting him into the position he's most effective. Tonight was the most he's gotten in that mid-range area thus far this season, and it's no mistake it was his best game.

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Last night, it was almost like he wanted Detroit to win. Granted, watching on TV. But on TV, there is a large perception from my of just lack of effort. I say you have to get rid of him for the sake of the team. He just doesn't want to be in Phoenix

Ilysaova for Markieff?

^Yeah I thought that initially, he clearly didn't give an F after picking up two cheap fouls and then half-heartedly back-chatting to the ref and picking up the T.

I'm open to trading him away, but I'm not giving him up for nothing.

I can see McD and Ainge working something out again - Sully + filler + a protected pick for Kieff.

I've never really liked Gambo. Markieff is 3rd in shots on our team, and he's shooting 36%. Dude doesn't even got his number right.

And there is no doubt in my mind SOME team would trade a used mouthpiece for him.

It all depends on when he wrote the tweet, right? But to be fair to Gambo, there are only two guys shooting worse than Kieff, and that is Tele and Weems. :o You can't have a guy shooting almost 16 shots a night, and barely shooting better than deep bench guys, and expect to win games.

He wrote it on November 7th, at 1:06 am.

So if he is shooting 35% in the OKC game, which means he was probably shooting even better than 36% prior to that.

That's pretty pathetic.

On the other hand, Kieff can say for the first and only time in his life, he was mentioned in the same category as Kobe Bryant.
