jack is not morphing into jason kidd, his passing has been decent to mediocre and he still makes a ton of boneheaded shot selections. he also plays very little to no defense.

One of the biggest lies Net fans like to tell themselves. Jack finished as a plus defender the last 2 seasons.

2014-15 Jack held his opponent to 42.7% FG when they normally shoot 43.1% (-.4)
2013-14 Jack held his opponent to 43% FG when they normally shoot 43.1% (-.1)

God I love the new stats NBA.com has. It shoots holes in these fan contrived agendas

2014-15 Mirza held his opponent to 44.1% FG when they normally shot 45% (-.9)
2013-14 Mirza held his opponent to 45.2 when they normally shot 45.2

Over the last two seasons based on the statistic your citing Mirza has been an above average defender and better than Jack.

So is Mirza not the terrible defender you claim he is? Or is that statistic you're citing rather meaningless?

Ive only been on here for about 6 months bro

Mirza wasnt as bad as I thought. It did surprise me.

But when you see him shooting 27.8% this year would you still say he is a good player?

1. Westbrook 15.1 (278 minutes) / 35.8 Pts
2. TJ McConnell 14.2 (232 minutes) / 8.8 Pts
3. Rubio 14.2 (185 minutes) / 20.5 Pts
4. Ish SMith 14.1 (227 minutes) / 17 Pts
5. Rondo 12.1 (303 minutes) / 16.9 Pts
6. Barea 12 (175 minutes) / 19.9 Pts
7. Paul 11.9 (228 minutes) / 23.5 Pts
8. Wall 11.7 (234 minutes) / 25 Pts
9. Delladova 11.2 (208 minutes) / 15.8 Pts
10. J Teague 10.8 (313 minutes) / 28.6 Pts
11. Jack 10.5 (219 minutes) / 19.3 Pts

People need to get over their Jack biases. He is playing the role of distributor. Im not sure McConnell belongs on this list because he is obviously padding his stats based on his low scoring relative to his assisting. Jack is in the top 3rd of PGs in assists despite our struggles on 3s. Give the man his credit.

he is passing better but his defense needs major improvement cause he doesnt try at times or gives up on plays. thats biggest problem with jack right now

I dont like this version of Jack. I like him better when he is a scorer, I think he makes a bigger impact that way. Everyone else hated that version of Jack. They wanted someone who plays the traditional role of a passer and overstated DWill's value last year.

I got 4/1 on a bet straight up. I'm feeling pretty good about it.

I think it´s going to be a dog fight lol Rondo played 48 minutes at point guard the last 2 games no kidding. I was hoping DMC got suspended which would of helped us a lot but even with him the Kings are in a big mess. They beat the Pistons last night but I just hope we can carry this momentum. We play GS the next day so I expect the Nets to come out fighting against the King we need that win

hey but lets give respect to BROOK

Brook played A TIER ball tonight

14/12, 5 blocks

Bojan needs to play 35 mins or better. I knew it. Hollins needs to cut the crap and let this guy PLAY.

brook had ZERO second half points, yet still made a big impact, especially down the stretch with his rebounding and defense at the rim. great sign from him.

think about that, down 10, to the rockets, on the road, in the 4th, brook shutout in the second half and we still gut out the win. that would Neeeeeever happen last year.

Hello Brooklyn wrote:I think if we got a legitimate PG we could be a decent team. But we really don't have any assets at this point to do that.

yeah, we arent a 70 loss team even if it seems that way. and if our trash starters were in backup roll theya would be fine. im not saying we'd be great if we had a real PG, but we'd at least be where we were last year, fighting for an 8 seed and 40 wins

Yeah because that coward D-Will would have folded and sunk the team morale.

Last night is how the Nets need to approach every game. Fight. Scrap. Defend aggressively. Clean the glass. Teams will get leads but keep clawing back.

Nets' identity needs to be hardhat and lunch pail, meat and potatoes.

That's a must win game against Sacto. I don't expect a win against Golden State, but if the Nets can beat Sacto it gives me hope that they can somehow climb out of a 2-8 hole

Exactly, were still only 3 games out of 8 seed with 70+ games to go. We can do this lol

NyCeEvO wrote:Yeah, I was going to say. I wasn't that impressed. When you're 0-7, anyone who contributes to the first win seems like a star lol.

I remember one play late in the game where crossed over, blew by his man, and completely botched a wide open layup. This wasn't a contested layup or one that he simply mistimed. He blew it and blew it badly.

If people expect these guys to be good, they'll be disappointed rather often. I just hope that they won't kill us every time on the court. My expectations are quite low.

yeah great effort, great to see us get a 'W', but after one win the place is starting to revent back of offseason form were all the undrafted guys where great and our backups who are in starting roles are someone good players.

we need this effort everynight just to have a shot to win

When you start 7 games in the hole, you kind of have to think that way

Curry needs a good hard foul.... teams need to give good hard fouls vs the Ws and be as physical as can be in the paint on both ends...

wear them out
