Why not, because teams play off his jumper? He is the only player on our team that can penetrate the d, get consistently to the line, and create for others. He had the best +/- of anyone on our team tonight as well. You saw that stagnant garbage at the end? It's because? we have zero other players that can take the opposition off the dribble.
two reasons:
1) Teams will sag off him like crazy, basically eliminating the dribble penetration. Now, starting him may mitigate that issue, but I don't think the ball movement is really as huge of an issue with the starting lineup in my opinion. It's really:
2) Grant is the only guy who creates for the bench. If you start him, then there's almost no way the bench will score points easily.
Teams sagged off Rondo like crazy and he still was effective in his rookie season.
Point is he can get us into our offense faster. There were two instances were our offense just stopped and itwas like here Melo there are 5 secs on the clock and you are doubled good luck.
Also no one is saying start him. But keep him in at crunch time.
We don't know if he's Rondo
