Luke Walton has the benefit of just mimicking Kerr's substitution patterns -- Don't expect outright that he will do the right subs if he does coach the knicks. That said, Luke is probably the closest relacement that Phil can get aside from Phil literally telling Phucking Fish what to do in the sidelines using a comms device.

If you're a team that continually sucks in close games, that's almost always due to poor coaching, not the players. Fisher's got to go.

Larry Brown was unreal in that category. He set a record, Knicks at least, don't know about the whole NBA, for most starting lineups. I don't think Fisher is in danger of breaking that record. But his substitutions are still vile.

Yea, I don't think anyone can beat Larry Brown's season with us. His rotations that year, he was starting some players (or play them big minutes) based on their hometown or if they played college ball in that area. It was ridiculous.

It's only 10 games in for you guys. 4-6 with all the new Starters and bench players learning a new system, Cavs went through this last season.

If the Knicks are going to go through this process of running Calderon out there and allowing the opposing point guard to rack up stats, then there needs to be more production out of the front court in order to win. That means giving more touches to Porzingis, Lopez, etc in addition to Melo's numbers.

The sad thing for me is we had two very winnable games against a hurt Cavs team. In the first game LeBron had one of the worst games I've seen him play in quite some time. Both games we disappear for long stretches of the game offensively and both games Irving wasn't even playing. Had he played in either game I'm sure the Cavs would have absolutely annihilated us by double digits.

Either way this is a really tough stretch of the season for us but it is disappointing we are where we are with how many close games we've lost.

Fish needs to instill more double teams when Lebron is on the floor. Porzingis or anyone else should not be defending this guy by himself especially within 10 ft of the basket.

Yeah that was a total bitch comment. If I were amundson, i'd lay out thompson the next time they played. Hard to do in today's NBA, though.

Oh benching KP for Lance thomas in the clutch.

oh keep switching some more on defense willl you.

great job Cap'n Fisher.. go get your ass beat by Barnes again your **** sucker snitch fake ass coach

Please note I predicted this very thing in the 2nd or 3rd page of the game thread. Well, not the switching, but the bad substitutions/inept offensive unit in the game for mid 3rd to mid 4th.

The consolation prize video; getting to watch KP develop his varied offensive arsenal.

Note the highlights are bunched up to midway through the 2nd quarter and then there isn't another one until 3/4ths the way through of the 4th.

Fisher's utilization of KP in a nutshell.

My bad; there was a highlight at the very beginning of the 3rd quarter, then nothing until the 3/4ths of the 4th. My assertion still stands.

Fisher doesn't know how to utilize KP to maximize his effectiveness. At least Melo found KP at the FT line after the 2nd highlight, where Melo had his head down into 2 defenders and failed to pass to a wide open KP in the corner. Go Welo.

Lot of you saying KP should play atleast 35+ mins...

you wanna kill the dude? he will only be playing 30+mins when his body matures and hes finally used to nba schedule and his stamina is better.

knicks aint gonna risk this valuable asset to win some games in a season which they already said they dont plan to get to playoffs

This may have been answered, but why are O'Quinn's minutes dwindling? Has he been in foul trouble? Bad defence?

derek fisher **** pissed me off last night, more than the charlotte game. he always waits till a team breaks our lead to make substitutions and its already too late. why the **** would u bench afflalo for calderon and keep amundson and thomas in clutch minutes? thats completely no offense. fisher basically said ''melo i want u to play hero ball and win this game by ur self''. we had galloway but he was off last night you gotta play the hot hand (afflalo). even porzingis couldve got more minutes. we **** scored 12 points in the 4th quarter and fisher is always TOO LATE with his substitutions. same **** every game. i was a big supporter of fisher but he done pissed me off last night. the lineup that was great last night was gallo, afflalo, melo, porzingis, lopez. we ended the game with **** calderon, gallo, melo, thomas, amundson. we're losing games because of horrible decisions by our coach, not because of our roster. we actually have a solid team to surround melo with but fisher is **** it up. phil jackson gotta show this man something or we're gonna keep losing more games

Dumb coach and Amundson has been great.

No idea why Thomas is getting minutes over him.
