Liked what I saw from Simmons tonight. Definitely see the Odom comps. But Simmons may actually be a better ball handler\passer

All I know is I don't like Skal at all.

More I watch Simmons, more I think he'd be like a GODSEND for us. He's very calm, composed, high IQ basketball player. With all the out of control nuts jobs we have on our team a player like Ben Simmons, with his skills & demeanor would instantly improve our team tenfold.

and finally, I truly believe by the time the lotto rolls around people will be talking about Kris Dunn as potential top 3 pick.

I like PGs who can drive into the lane. I'm thinking players like Melo Tremble and Demetrius Jackson may be better for us.

Neither of those guys are real point guards, though.

The Sixers need perimeter shooters, especially if they somehow land Simmons.

HOLY S***! Did you guys see who's playing on Tuesday? DUKE VS. KENTUCKY!

It's a shame we couldn't get that one last year.

They can break their man down. They can play PG. I don't have a problem with it. If we get one of them and Simmons Simmons will control the ball as much as them so not a big deal.

Simmons looks like he would be best utilized at PF next to an athletic, defensive C that could get out and run with him in transition and finish lobs.

Top 5 talent should jump out to me. I really don't understand all the hype about Skal after watching him. He was even ranked ahead of Simmons on some sites too. How? No way Skal goes in the top 5. Same with Ingram. Yes it's just one game but a top talent should be very noticeable from the get go like Okafor and Towns last year and Simmons yesterday.

Am I he only one who wasn't impressed with Skal and Ingram? Was anyone else also not impressed with either of them?

Simmons will be great at either the 3 or at the 4. He's got the athleticism, handle and agility to be a star wing. That's where I would play him.

I agree and I think he's going to be a bust in the NBA. From what I've seen, he looks like a slightly better version of Brendan Wright, and if I'm the Sixers, I avoid him at all cost.

Agreed. Can you imagine a lineup of
Noel
Saric
Simmons

As our frontcourt? The court vision and passing would be unreal. I really think Simmons will be a star. I love unselfish players who want to set up others. Both Saric and Simmons do that. Simmons would be our SF if Embiid/Okafor and Noel start and that's great with me. Simmons is a positionless player. We really wouldn't have to have a PG per se if we start Simmons. Simmons would be our PG.

Skal is more of a Myles Turner, Noel, Cauley-Stein caliber of prospect. Anyone projecting him as an all-encompassing big like Towns or Cousins was kidding themselves.

Ingram is the ultimate boom / bust guy. He could be Kevin Durant or he could be Perry Jones.

I agree with you that immediate excellence is important, but I think we should give these guys a good 5 games to show something before we re-arrange their rank.

While I agree that Simmons would be great on this team isn't he what Dario is supposed to be bringing? A point forward?

Also, I didn't see the Kentucky game, can someone give a breakdown of Murray. In the highlights it looked like he went off but, that's what highlights do

Not quite. Saric is a crafty and willing passer, but he's not going to bring the ball up and run your offense from the top of the key. Simmons is.

I think the point forward label on Saric is somewhat misleading.

Although both are nice passers, I would say Sarics a better shooter, Simmons has a better handle and is more athletic.
