Vikings Leadup
Obviously something has to change or this is a double digit loss.
Last year we beat them in Minny by 3. We had Jordy (8 catches). They didn't have AP.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

As Vince Lombardi almost said, the measure of a man is not whether he get's knocked down. It's whether he can get up and stuff that Viking horn up some purple butt.
This has been a bad few weeks, but all that badness would be erased by a win on Sunday.

Re: Vikings Leadup
The funny thing is that I'm willing to overlook all the awful that has been the last 3 games if we pull out a win in Minny. The problem is that any "overconfidence" the Vikings might have will probably be negated by the motivating factor of not beating us in forever.
I just don't know with this team right now. I mean, obviously they'll eventually snap out of this funk, but I've said that the last two games now. And I've never seen this team in such a slump, not in the McCarthy/Rodgers era. Vikings fans are going to be insufferable leading up to this game, and I don't even wanna imagine how they're going to act if they finally beat us.

Re: Vikings Leadup
We haven't beaten a team on the road that has a winning record in 3 years. Oh and the Vikes have a good defense.

I don't see why we should win this game when we can only put up 16 points at home on the worst defense in the NFL.
But who the **** knows at this point?

Re: Vikings Leadup
Vikings D is no joke. They have playmakers at every level. If the offense plays like it did yesterday we will lose badly and Rodgers probably ends up injured. I hate watching this **** team right now. Nobody can tell me that Clements isn't the main issue. We have only been outside the top 8 in points scored once in the Rodgers/MM era. Losing Jordy Nelson does not turn us into the offense we see now just based on personnel. **** that.

Re: Vikings Leadup
I'd love to have all of the inside info on the offense. Plays called this year vs. last year. Audibles called by AR this year vs. last year. We'll never know for sure unless a player spouts off in the media but I agree there's more to it than losing Jordy.

Re: Vikings Leadup
Obviously, Lacy being irrelevant has killed us. That said, where is the originality on offense? Every single pass play seems like a drop back timing play, where we are relying on WR's who apparently can't separate to do just that. Where are the rollouts, misdirections, screens? Safe plays to get us 4-5 yards a crack? That's the only way we can really win with this offense, but we can do it assuming Rodgers goes back to being Rodgers in terms of accuracy. It just seems like we run the same stuff play after play after play.

Re: Vikings Leadup
It has to be nice for the Packers non player personal to know they can mess up all the time and not get fired. How many bad years of special teams did it take for Slocum to get fired? I think the Packers will lose by 17 or more to Vikings. The Packers will go 3 and out numerous times and the Vikings will control the clock with the run

Re: Vikings Leadup
We did win the Super Bowl with Brandon Jackson as our leading rusher that season (Starks did well in the playoffs). And with Donald Lee as the primary TE (Finley got hurt). But we did have Driver, Nelson, Jones and Jennings that year.

Don't see any conceivable way that the Packers could win this, but would I be shocked if they did win, no.

28-10 Vikings. We get a garbage time TD late in the 4th.

I mean, I do have to take a long look at Clements here, but I can't honestly say whether the plays he calls are really stupid or whether the receivers just won't get open or whether Rodgers is just lacking confidence right now. I would think that if he was just calling **** stupid plays over and over again, McCarthy would change the play, or Rodgers would audible to something better. I can't imagine they're just taking **** calls and running them with no thought.

I want to point out how good Randall is shaping up but I don't want to take the focus off what an undreamable disaster this team has been since the bye. I don't even know if I want to watch this game. They are not fun to watch.

I'm not sure there is one simple answer to their problems. Feels like it's one mistake killing most of these drives. On the first possession yesterday they score a TD if Rodgers hits Adams on a pretty easy throw on 3rd down. It's a throw he makes 99 our of 100 time but just overshot him. The next possession Cobb drops an easy 3rd down catch that he might have taken to the house. Right now it just seems like every drive has a drop, penalty or other mistake that kills them.
This has been a problem on d for a couple years where it seems like they can stuff them on 1st and 2nd and look great then turn around and give up 15 yards on 3rd down. Just have a hard time stringing together good plays.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Re: Vikings Leadup
I'm not the biggest Bill Michaels fan but this segment was sad and scary to listen to.
http://www.billmichaelssports.com/111615-interview-anonymous/
All the different theories proposed on this forum and on all the radio shows are basically all true according to this inside guy he talked to. WR's can't run routes, we can't beat press coverage, Bahk hurt, O-line overrated, capers can only be successful when having a lead, Rodgers hurt/scarred/skiddish. All things we all thought and things that some like myself don't want to believe are true. I still feel like we're in bizarro world that a MM/Ted era team can be this inept over 3 straight games. Scariest thing is that according to this snippet it won't get better which means we're probably looking at 9-7. I don't know if really believe what I just typed but if all these things are true than that's probably where we're headed.

The biggest silver lining is not having to read BUCKSFORLIFE writing ridiculous diatribes about 'those idiot's MM and TT'.

Maybe I am nitpicking but your statement does not make sense. I'll give the Packers a chance, they can win if their offense shows up to play or maybe Bridgewater has a bad game and throws some picks.
