Easy now. I may be a ku homer along with a wolves fan but let's just say we have two incredibly talented young players. I still think Wiggins has mvp talent in the next couple years

Trust me, it is not a knock on Wiggins. We already know he has a huge ceiling and is already the ROY. But KAT? I mean, c'mon now. This kid already has a very good basketball IQ on both ends of the court with very good athletic ability to go with it. Wiggins can become an All Star but KAT could be a superstar.

Towns is effing amazing and I expected him to be this good since HS. Minny is blessed to have him. He has top 3 NBA player potential. I believe he can be as good as Harden, Curry, Durant, James....I really do. I don't care if it's hype. He has all the tools. Mentally and physically.

When do we start the double-double watch thread?

BTW the franchise record belongs to Garnett, who had 71 in his MVP season.

Long after the Timberwolves' locker room had mostly emptied Tuesday night following a loss to the Hornets, a couple of stray teammates spotted Karl-Anthony Towns sitting in his chair, head bowed, muttering about something gone wrong.

It was unclear why Towns was so frustrated. Minnesota had lost at home, again, but they hung tight without Andrew Wiggins and Ricky Rubio, and Towns played well -- 19 points, 13 rebounds, the usual light-on-his-feet defense. The Wolves were 4-3, a feel-good entry into the muddled race for one of the last two playoff spots in the West. What could be wrong?

Towns explained that he was angry at himself for failing to alert Minnesota's guards about incoming picks on defense. As word of Towns' self-flagellation filtered through the organization, teammates and officials just shook their heads and laughed: "This? This is what the dude is worried about? Holy crap."

Sam Mitchell, the team's head coach, had given everyone the next day off; Minnesota had just wrapped a back-to-back in the thick of a brutal stretch of 14 games in 25 days.

Towns was at the practice facility by 9 a.m. "I work hard on my game," Towns tells ESPN.com. "I want to be the strongest player, the most intelligent player and the most skilled player on the court at all times."

Man, trading Kevin Love was the best thing the Wolves have ever done tradewise. We will have the best 1-2 punch since Shaq and Kobe. Unfortunately, this means we'll have sooo many bandwagoners in roughly 2 years. Adieu, peaceful Wolves RGM board.

For real...I remember watching the first game of Wes Johnson's second season and thinking to myself "this team is doomed." Even in the 40-42 season I thought that we would have to pull off a miracle free agent signing or something to really be a contender even though we were always competitive against LAC.

This season is a different animal. KAT is going to be insanely good once he adapts to the league and stops all those pump fakes and what not when he gets the ball passed to him.

I really, really hope that Glen Taylor pushes for 2 5-year-max contracts per team during the next CBA talks. It would suck to have to choose between Wiggins and Towns, thankfully they didn't come into the league at the same time.

I'm a bit annoyed by how much press Kristaps Porzingis is getting compared to Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns has been much better than Porzingis but the New York media/ESPN is hyping the crap out of Zinger. Don't get me wrong, Porzingis looks like he's going to be a good pro but again, he has not been as good as Towns.
