I am definitely enjoying Wayward Pines.

Anyone watching the new AMC show Humans? I dig it.

The Whispers is another good new show, kinda in the same vein as Wayward Pines and all those other shows I mentioned earlier.

Or did he? The internet is buzzing with theories.

You should probably put a spoiler alert on that too.

GOTHAM

Survivor is good this season so far

Trying but thinking about giving up on Once Upon a Time (has been slowly going downhill past two seasons)

When does Better Call Saul come back?

I think you are the only other person I know who watches Survivor religiously like I do. People look at me like I have three heads when I tell them I love that show.

I think Saul comes back in Feb.

Watching Aziz's new show Master of None on Netflix.

I'm going to start refering to the Washington Redskins as the Washington Breadsticks from now on. Since the Panthers play them this weekend, I'm going to run that into the ground pretty hard.

It's pretty excellent. Much less of the bone-crunching action oriented series Daredevil was... more of a neo-noir story.

Don't know if it's any more or less dark than Daredevil. Jessica Jones definitely has some pretty intense subject matter (Kilgrave is an excellent super villain who does some seriously disturbing ****, and there's lots of discussion about PTSD/rape), but Daredevil was definitely more violent/graphic and held its own in the dark subject matter category as well. Jones definitely isn't SFW though. Tons of sex and lots of swearing. Definitely feels like a premium cable show meant exclusively for adults.

The Man in the High Castle just released on amazon, too. Saw the first two episodes a couple of weeks ago and it was brilliant. Gonna mow through that this weekend after I finish up JJ.

I think I am about 9 episodes in so far. Pretty good. Some funnier than others.

Did anybody watch the 6 episode miniseries on HBO, Show Me a Hero?

It was done by David Simon and was about the youngest mayor in the country in Yonkers New York being forced and trying to all public housing on the affluent side of town.

Really interesting stuff.

LOVED IT. Interesting and a valuable story to be told, incredibly precise (there is footage from the Yonkers city council on youtube which is eerily similar to some scenes on the show, they basically recreated many real life moments) and some great casting (http://imgur.com/a/yqvR7 - for some examples).

I guess the only knock might be the fact that it took some time for a few characters to seem meaningful (you wonder - why do I exactly care for these people), yet it was worth it at the end.

What did you think of the main character, Nick Wasiscko?

Spoiler:
When you look back at it, he wasn't exactly the greatest guy. Kind of helped the housing project by accident. Screwed over his best friend in politics. Was insufferable for his wife at times. Yet I still found myself rooting for him at the end. Weird how TV is nowadays with protagonists having some very antagonistic qualities. And, obviously, Nick isn't even the worst of them. It's not like he's on Tony Soprano's level or anything.

But, yeah, the terrific job the actor (Oscar Isaac) did probably has something to do with it as well.
