The Mavericks were down 18 in the first quarter to them and still came back and won. After the first quarter, the Mavs methodically shut their offense down.

Just punish Thomas on defense. Involve him in pick and rolls and exploit the mismatch with JJ posting him up. The Mavericks abused him all night that way. I bet they will try to hide him on RHJ, if that happens, the Nets have to try to give him the ball as well. Their offense, they're not that scary. They often just stand around while Thomas dribbles around. Not that great of a shooting team... I'm intrigued to see the Sullinger/Young matchup.

What strikes you about them is just the energy level and bench. You know they will play really hard and come in droves. So if the Nets are sloppy, they can easily be ran out of the gym, otherwise if they play disciplined and don't turn it over, they should be in games against them. They don't have anyone that should scare you other than Thomas, who is a major liability on defense.

They'll be underdogs in both, but it'd be hilarious if the Nets won... at least one of them.

nets have 9 or 10 new players in new roles they havent done before plus the tough schedule early. the fact they are even competing with warriors and a few of these teams is a good sign.

Sergey Karasev said he "loves" the Nets organization and doesn't want a trade. Said his dad's comments were because "he's my biggest fan." from andy vasquez, nets reporter.

id like hollins to go less joe johnson, ellington, and bargnani. get sloan, brown, and karasev their minutes. if hollins can expand his rotation like the knicks are doing, fisher is playing multiple players.
