Juancho Hernang

Post#1 » by No-Man » Sun Nov 8, 2015 6:50 pm

Well, seeing that there is a topic for Furkan, for very good reasons, I think it's time to talk about the best or most exciting prospect out of spanish basketball I can recall since Pau Gasol (close with Llull though).
Marc ended up been really good, but he was not the big time athlete Juancho is, his knack for rebounding and the style of basketball that is played nowadays work on his favor. He is a 6'9ish PF, he is an elite athlete, that plays face-up but has the legs, and versatility to defend outside and is going to be a solid shooter.
Guys like Dekker got praise last year and Juancho is still an unknown, when in fact he is a better prospect, I went all ahead a few weeks back and put him right in the lotto in my last Mock, and I think at one point the specialized websites will notice him and bump him up like he deserves.
Easily the most underrated player out there for this 2016 class.
He is Willy's younger brother and his contract with Movistar Estudiantes ends this summer.

Today he is been even more impressive, he attacks the rack with such aggression, and has such a base strength and explosiveness, great instincts too, both parents were professional ballers, same with his brother Willy. The guy is everything you need from his position in modern basketball, he is a MAJOR sleeper, none draft forum or site is talking about him and he is 100% lotto worthy.
I urge anybody to see him play, most exciting young player I have seen coming from Spain since Pau (Ricky, Llull and Mirotic are close though).

His club such signed former Alabama wing Tony Mitchell, him and Juancho should be a highlight reel.

His game resembles Mirotic's a lot, but I agree, I think he could be a better version of Mirotic. He's bigger and slightly more athletic.

He is not the shooter that Mirotic is, but he is a much better athlete and his motor is better too.

If by bigger you mean he's got a wider frame i agree but he's around 1.5-2 inches shorter.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.
