Again, no chance the Indians go for that. Travis could easily be more valuable, but Kluber is a CY candidate with 6 years of cheap team control. Travis has had one good month in the majors, while Kluber has been one of the top 5 pitchers in baseball over the past 3 years.

We don't have enough to trade for CC or Kluber unless Stroman + was headed back to Cleveland.

Cleveland already has an allstar 2B signed long term. Travis isn't a good fit for them.

How's their DL depth chart look. He would be at the top of that right?
I kid. I kid.

You can't ask for a better guy to anchor that 60-day DL.

Re: Jays/Tribe talking SP-for-OF trade
Salazar and Bauer seem more realistic than Carrasco or for surw Kluber.
Maybr the Jays should buy low on Bauer. He has top of the rotation talent, is the youngest, with years of control... But coming off a bad year.
Pillar for Bauer straight up?

I realize I'll be slammed fro this but I really believe Kluber remains a sell-high candidate. The last three seasons were way above everything in his professional history prior-to. He's still a prime candidate to regress.

The two biggest reasons behind Kluber's success aren't things one would expect to regress, though: his vastly-improved command versus his minor league days, and the overhaul of his repertoire early in his major league career. He went from being a guy who pitched off a four-seamer that ended up in the seats with some regularity, to one who leans heavily on a sinker and one of the best cutters in the game.

**** your asterisk.

I disagree... You can luck out and have 1 superstar year, yes... But two?.... How about 3?.... All back to back to back too..... I think its safe to safe, Kluber is no fluke

Yeah, his 3 seasons (and 92 starts) are way better than his rookie season where he made 12 starts. And that Mike Trout guy, he was so terrible in 2011, I'm just not buying his 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 seasons quite yet. Let him do it for another year or two, then we can get a good assessment of him

I see it is a Pitcher anywhere from 4-7 on the Indians Depth Chart, that Shapiro would have liked and thought could become of value either front end or back end. The cost of acquiring him would be relatively low.

Going to be sad if it ends up being Pillar moved. He has become my favorite jay for his play on the field and his personality off it

Jays need pitching and Pillar is an asset. There are only a few areas that the Jays can afford to deal from, so if the team is improved who cares.

Re: Jays/Tribe talking SP-for-OF trade
Just read that Carrasco is the best SP value on thd market, not Price or Greinke..... And i agree
Corrasco does not have a track record like the other Aces available but considering that he is controlable for the next 5 years for about $40 million total.... Crazy number!!!
If your gonna give up top prospects, this is the trade target that justifies it.
I read it would cost an everyday OF + a top prospect.

Plus they have a young cheap replacement waiting in the wings. The same opening day CF as last season. Selling high on Pillar?

Exactly. I don't think Pillar & Pompey are the future in 2 OF spots. One of them stays and the other should be dealt, as I would prefer not to have 2 lighter-hitting (as in not tonnes of power, extra base or otherwise) OFs.

And you're not selling high on Pompey like you would Pillar. It was only 8 months ago that Jays management thought Pompey was the better player going forward too. Pillar was considered a 4th OF type. As much as I like Pillar and want to believe that he's one of those guys that will be forever underestimated, it does make a lot of sense to move him.
