Predict the new starting line-up

Post#1 » by Mannchild » Tue Nov 24, 2015 9:59 am

Skiles says he is going to change the line-up. What do you think it will be?

My guess:

Napier
Dipo
Fournier
Harris
Vuc

I could also see:

Payton
Fournier
Harris
Nicholson
Smith

That's my bet too. Smith and Nicholson have hustled and provide the spacing that Payton needs to be able to drive to the basket like he did last year.

If not that
Vuc
Nicholson
Gordon
Fournier
Payton

Nicholson is still a liability on defense, but the last couple of games showed that he brings so many new things to our offense that they overcome his issues.

Wait you guys seriously dont think Vuc will be a starter? I just cant see that happening. I think Oladipo will come off the bench and AG will start.

IMO Vuc is the best player on the roster, but it doesn't make him untouchable. If Skiles feels he's not giving 100% he will bench him for a few games.
Obviously that in a long run Vuc will always start over Smith, Frye or Dedmon.

i think Vuc and maybe Harris might be going to the bench for a game or two. i don't think it's a serious thing, just a bit of a 'light a fire under their asses' kind of thing. i feel like Vuc has lost a lot of the defensive intensity and focus that he started the season with.

I don't think Dipo necessarily played bad last night, but if Skiles slides Harris to the three he isn't benching Fournier. I have also noticed that Vooch hasn't been as aggressive defensively since the start of the season as well. I could see him coming off the bench for a stretch because honestly Jason Smith is playing good defense and brings a little of the same floor spacing although not as lethal.

I think it's:
Payton
Fournier
Harris
AN
Smith

I didn't think AN is better than AG but if you start Gordon that lineup is ridiculously limited offensively.

Dipo to the bench I reckon will be the change. Will he bring in Frye or Gordon though?

I don't care who starts. I just want to see some emotion and INTENSITY

Basing this off of the theory of Skiles subbing for effort and offense:

Napier
Fournier
Harris
Nicholson
Vucevic

backed up by

Payton
Oladipo
Gordon
Frye
Smith/Dedmon

This could have big implications though for the front office. Benching your star(s) for an extended period is a big move. It could be the beginning of the breakup or just a bump in the road. Will be interesting.

We don't have stars. That's my gripe. We should play to win games, not to make wannabe superstars or fanboys of these wannabe stars happy or not

I certainly agree, but like it or not we made them stars of this city. Hennigan pinned his hopes and dreams on these guys to put the work in the gym to become stars. Now they can't even start on a sub .500 team and get outplayed by bench scrubs.

A bench consisting of Payton, Dipo, and Harris is actually a very dominant combination.... They'd make an amazing B team.

Napier, Fournier, AG, Nicholson, vooch pls.
