Celtics @ Hawks on TNT

Long-time fans of the Atlanta Hawks don't necessarily associate positive thoughts with the "big stage" of national television, but the team has another opportunity to extinguish that negativity on Tuesday night. This time, the Hawks will play host to Brad Stevens and the Boston Celtics.

The Hawks will be without both Kent Bazemore and Tiago Splitter for Tuesday's game against the Celtics.

In Saturday's loss to CLE, Atlanta shot a season-low 37.2 percent and trailed the Cavaliers by as many as 26. The Hawks were especially dominated inside, getting outscored 44-30 in the paint and outrebounded by a 51-38 margin.

Dikembe Mutombo will be honored at halftime in Atlanta tonight as the Hawks retire and raise his No. 55 jersey to the rafters of Phillips Arena.

The Hawks are off to a 9-6 start to 2015-16, which seems a bit underwhelming after their 60-win campaign last season. But Atlanta started 2014-15 at 9-6, too, before winning 31 of its next 33 games to reach 40-8.

Good to see some points scored first quarter.

Holy cow. Tim Hardaway, Jr actually got in the game!!!

He might actually need to get his jersey washed.

Great game, and an overall great night! Hopefully this win sparks a run of us winning 30 of our next 32 to reach 40-8, once again.

Second Celtics game I've missed this year. Sounds like a good one to have missed. Congrats on the win man. My forum sounds broken. Must have been a beatdown.

Even Turner is special bad.

Olynyk and James Young, i'm glad the Hawks didn't waste a pick on them, they also look bad.

RJ Hunter looks pretty good, he could be one of the steals of the draft. he looked like a lottery pick tonight.

Patterson is really starting to show that he deserves to be in the NBA. He was a nobody in college and in the draft but is slowly becoming a value pick for the Hawks. If the Hawks can't get a SF in the next two drafts, Patterson could be a serviceable SF for the future.

Hardaway is going to struggle still learning the system for the next few months, but i expect him to give good minutes around April and May.

Yea, I don't think it was a great one from a Celtics perspective. The good news for yall is that RJ Hunter looks like a monster. Was my favorite player in college, since he's from my school. Wish we would've taken him.

Hunter looked like the smartest player, fundamentally, on the court(along with Bradley). Evan Turner is just so bad...so so bad.

I like this Thabo starting lineup...I even liked it in the Cleveland game because he is so aggressive on the defensive boards, and defensively makes the starting unit special. But the second unit would be SO bad with Dennis,Patterson/Holiday, Bazemore,Scott/Moose, Splitter. I'm not 100% sure of how they would score.

Dennis looked good to start the 4th. I was ready to blow a gasket with him last night.
