The field goal percentage isn't a big deal from last night. One of the shots was a half court heave. Another was him almost ending Kevin Seraphin's career. The main thing to take out of the contest is the aggressiveness and free throws.

His aggressiveness reminded me of Russell, but he isn't as explosive.

Since the day he entered the league Vic never had any problems getting to the basket, its his ability to finish that is in question. He is a bullet and gets by just about everyone, he just needs to put it all together. Not just finish but make the right pass once he breaks their defense down.

It's really the only way we have a chance at the playoffs.

Maybe playing next to payton is the weakness. When he was in with napier, napier has a respectable shot compared to payton, so napier had to be guarded which creates some space. Playing along side payton the defenders slag off quite a bit more.

Magic fans refuse to be happy for or support the scapegoat. Doubt they'll ever be happyvunless their favorite little player is playing up. Questionable fan base.

I like to think he got mad that Skiles benched his ass for Frye, so he decided to take it out on the Knickerbockers.

Many game this year, Orlando has taken less FTs than the opponent made. Wonderful to see that inverted! 27 made FTs this game with Oladipo accounting for just under half made FTs. WOW.

I hate to say it, but I kind of agree. As long as I have been positing here (and long before that, too, I am sure) we have singled out one player for an inordinate amount of criticism. It's still odd to me that Victor has ended up being that guy, if I am honest. He's clearly not a player without flaws, but he generally plays hard, he's fun to watch, he seems to love playing for the Magic.

(Disclaimer - obviously I am not referring to people who talk about Dipo's weaknesses in a calm and reasoned manner and are capable of recognizing his strengths and good performances. But there are definitely people around here for whom the dislike and criticism of Victor borders on irrational).

How could Oladipo miss two FTs in the last game? Seriously, he had a real chance to go 15-15, instead of only 87% on the 13-15 night.

Indeed, he was Westbrook like... A comparison many people hoped for when he entered the league. Westbrook always has the eye of the tiger to him on offense, Vic always has it on defense. When Vic can spill over and roar his way to the rim every night, everything else in his game will open up, seeing the ball go in at the FT line gets shooters in a rhythm and the defense honest.
The future is bright 8-) Payton said. ``I just want to keep getting better and maybe one day I can be the all-time all assists leader for the Magic.’’

All it took was the refs to recognize that when Dipo attacks the basket the reason why he doesn't finish is because he's getting fouled.

What?!?
Skiles benched a starter like Oladipo?
Sweet.
Has 'dipo been sucking this year or was Skiles overreacting?
I don't get to see the games here in Texas.

I like dipo off the bench, i always thought that'd be tobes role, but the team is just much better balanced with dipo off the bench. frye spaces the floor, dipo comes in and is crushing 2nd units so far and it seems to have lit a fire under him

it also gives elfrid a little more space on the floor and another shooter to pass to and he has 2 double digit assist games in a row
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.
