What is Simmons shooting from the line? He still seems to have more of the 'it' factor than anyone else. The guy in the kia commercials couldn't shoot a like either, and Simmons has more skill at the same stage than him.

Simmons will not be a good scorer in the NBA and will get shut down with ease by good nba defenses . He is a playmaking powerforward who can't shoot. Royce White ... The hype is out of control.

73% but he hasn't taken many since the season is so young. His last game was the only poor ft shooting game and he was 2-5.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Ben Simmons is one of them. Pulling your hair out because he isn't a Steph Curry shooter or whatever just seems like a waste of energy to me.

Talent wise he's good, but, damn.... HE CAN'T shoot! I don't expect he'll be shooter like Steph Curry, but I'm afraid he's ceiling can be Andre Iguodala... or even MKG.

Good, quality defence will shut him down completely.

If we'll take him I feel sorry for Brett Brown already - Simmons, Noel, Okafor in one team... amazing talents but probably for 3 different teams..

Ha. Wow. Iguodala as a freshman at Arizona averaged about 6pts and 5reb a game. This kid is on a whole different level than Iggy. He's also at least 3 inches taller, maybe 4.

And how many college freshmen are good shooters on an NBA level? LeBron at 19 wasn't the greatest shooter either. He's actually been an average or below average outside shooter his whole career save for a few seasons. You can improve your outside shot and it has been done over and over again.

yes we need shooters. You don't pass up the better talent just because his jumper isn't there..

You get me wrong. I was talking about jump shot - I think Simmons's ceiling is MKG , maybe Iguodala. I don't meant his ceiling in general :) Iggy is different kind of player - he was amazing athlete with great defensive and all around potential - he had potential to be great all around player, but as a 1st option he was terrible. We have expectations, that Simmons will be our best player, 1st option. So... it's different case. I mean. Okafor should be our 1st option, because he's really talented offensively, but if we get Simmons we have to change our game...

I'm not saying - screw Simmons, let's get someone else - if he's really the best player in class- no doubt - let's take him. I'm just saying - he's not messiah, calm down... there will be lot problems if we get him. We'll have 3 great players with nice upside, which cannot play witch each other. It's good to have high upside in your roster, but to win games you have to have upside + fits afterall..

It will be amazing situation to have 3 potential franchise players (Simmons, Okafor, Embiid), but I would like to see a team finally. IF we get Simmons Hinkie will wait probably at least one season to see what he can do and who he needs to trade - and that means another **** up year (at lest 1 yr)

i find it really hard to believe a superstar like Ben Simmons will never have a better jump shot than MKG, who is famously one of the worst looking jump shooters of all time.

i mean come on man

Wayne Seldon jr finally looking like the talent a lot of people thought he was as a freshman.

True and thats what I've been saying. The problem is people are either overrating him or underrating him.

I really liked him 1/4 way through his freshman year. Glad to see him starting to play well

Yes Id compare Simmons draft stature with Anthony Davis, ahead of even Rose,Wall due to Bens Simmons size and all around game.

Someone here attempted to compare Ben Simmons to Aaron Gordon. IMO The only similarities they have would be questionable shooting. Simmons ballhandling and passing ability is extraordinary for someone 6'10". Gordon is a one trick pony, a slasher/dunker.Simmons is an elite basketball player with the potential to become the best player in the NBA if he puts in the effort..

Ok, I got you know. I don't think next year is another **** year, if we have all those guys though. For one it'll be a lot more interesting to watch games. Second, it'll be a productive season just figuring out who can coexist with each other and who may need to be dealt. Not a bad thing.

Malik Newman is the type of guard we need, a player with a consistent jumpshot and pull up game. Simmons lack of shooting is something to note, esp how they lost to NC State, I doubt we'll ever see a two dribble pull from simmons at all this season
