Saw him against UConn in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament and he got into foul trouble early and sat for most of the first half. He did still score 21 points even UConn dominated the game.

He is going to put up huge numbers. Looks like a late lotto pick. Michigan has to get Spike and Irvin healthy to help him. Aubrey Dawkins, Kam Chatman and Derrick Walton all underachieving.

This guy is so good. He does so many things well. I hope he stays healthy. He has a pro game.

I'm a fan of the guy, he's a bit lanky like Middleton and can shoot, but he's got a better handle and pull up jumper.

He looked like a scrub to me a couple years ago.

Good when engaged but prone to lapses.

how much does Caris' injury history deter GMs regardless of whether or not he has a great year?

I bet a good franchise hopes so.

I would think that would be the only thing holding him back or causing him to drop.

He's been on the radar for the past 2 years with some here speculating that he might have been the better pro in 2014 when Stauskas came out.

He's got an NBA toolset and has been placed in situations at Michigan that forced him to expand that set.

He should be able to contribute right away

and

He's young for his class. He's damn near exactly a year older than Dwayne Bacon who's a freshman at FSU.

.net has him mocked at 13 going to the Celts (which obviously don't really mean ish but I'd love to see him with a good coach like Brad Stevens)

I'm hoping he ends up in Detroit. He would be nice as a combo guard off the bench for us.

6'7" 205 lbs w/ a 7 foot span was his last measurements. UM tends to list height down so may be a shade over that.

A thinner Khris Middleton with better ball skills?

Lower IQ and lower drive to become a really good player. I was super high on him two years ago because he wasn't the highlight of the team and showcased his skills, but once he started to hold the ball more it's clear hes pretty sloppy and seems lost at times, which is weird because he has been playing at Michigan for three years. I also don't think he has gotten better at all (just has more opportunities). He's also pretty soft -- I don't know how his defense will translate if he's this soft.

On the bright side he has the talent, athleticism and body to be a really good player. I just don't think he'll become one. I ultimately see him as a role player at the next level unless he shows some more confidence and maturity.

This sounds like someone who only watched him his sophomore year.

Senior Year: 134.2 ORtg, 67.4 TS%, 52 2PT%, 55 FTRate, 2.22 A:TO, 32.7 PER
Junior Year: 101.1 ORtg, 52.1 TS%. 42.6 2PT%, 28.7 FTRate, 1.68 A:TO, 21.4 PER

Not only does he look much better sticking that midrange J but he is seeking contact at the rim. Looks much better hitting the roll man and shooters out of ball screens rather than looking for his shot exclusively like when he was an underclassmen. Also uses change of direction with purpose and in the flow of the offense and not as a means of pounding his dribble.

Derrick Walton is out with an injury (again) and Spike Albrecht had double hip surgery so LeVert has been the starting PG the past few games.

Lol I've seen more than enough of him this year (I live with a Michigan fan), but the same critiques apply. I don't think he's a good passer at all (gets lanes from bad defense) and this "contact" that is being seeked isn't completely true. He is going to the basket a lot more, but isn't really getting strong contact because of the players hes been against. Against NBA level defenders, he won't get the passing lanes he's getting and won't be able to handle the stronger contact (because he's soft).
