Great ball movement doesn't require exceptional passers, it only requires the team to buy into the concept of passing to the open man which is not happening right now because everyone is just ball watching while Bledsoe/Knight/Kieff iso's.

D'Antoni won't turn Bledsoe/Knight into a passing wizard ala Nash but I think he can do a lot to help with the spacing ad getting guys to buy into a team offense. I think we are lacking one exceptional shooter to make this work though.

At times though, it does seem that we have good ball movement and we find the open guy for an open three, which is why we have the second most 3s in the league, and even though it doesn't seem like we have the greatest shooters, they are shooting well, as we are also 2nd in 3 pt % I believe. Of course this is an area where Hornacek helps a great deal, already having helped Wesley Matthews and Kyle Korver become two of the deadlier shooters.

I think the ball movement SHOULD improve as they play more together. Atlanta got better at ball movement in their second year under Budenholzer, after playing together a while. About half of our players haven't played together for more than 15 or so games....so this is just something that I think is a chemistry thing that doesn't happen overnight.

Edit: Just checked..we dropped to 3rd in 3 pt %, after Indy's crazy 3 pt shooting nights.

I think many are forgetting that we often had games where we couldn't score, even with Nash running the point. It's nothing new for us. Now if we were one of those teams that got to the line often, then those droughts would be fewer than they are.

So I've seen a lot of mention about the refs and non calls from you. Do you think this is because some sort of bias against the Suns? Or just not having big name players? Or just not having guys that know how to get to the line? You'd think with two point guards that drive, and one that does it a lot, we'd get to the line fairly often.

I think Kieff arguing with the refs doesn't help matters, but I did like it when Horny got a tech for getting pissed about all the non calls...it seems we actually got quite a few right after that.

This.

The offense looks like **** and relies too much on a player just winging it and figuring out something on his own. Hornacek's plays (if they even run one) are utter crap. Seriously... ISO after ISO, or that stupid "everybody run around in an arch at the top of the key and flip pass it to each other" play. Or "hey let's all just stand there and watch the guy with the ball dribble for 15 seconds".

I'd way rather see the old 4-out high/quarter PnR 9 out of 10 trips down the floor to start things off and create some real ball movement for the shooters. I like the players this year and they have streaks where they are fun to watch, but between the ****ty play calling and the awful subs/rotations I'm quickly jumping on the fire Jeff bandwagon. Heck, at this point I'd rather see Mike just come back at HC. :banghead:

Many of us have been sayin this for years now. People think that the only problem with Hornacek is his love affair for the dual pg offense but it's not. It's not even a top 3 problem with Hornacek. It's his idiotic play calling and sets that's the main issue. Always been.

It's been going on for decades, Nash never got the respect a two time MVP should get. Guys were allowed to hand check him all the way down the court. Don't know the reason yet. Maybe it was the drugs in the eighties? We definitely put a scar on the league back then.

Crazy, so I looked up free throw attempted per year, and Denver has been high up there every year since 2003. They even were the top free throw attempted for 2008-2012. We were the lowest in 2006-2007, and 2007-2008. :o

But again, it isn't what is called, it's the ones that aren't called that bother me the most, and even worse at our own home.
