He's been trash for several weeks now. I think he's just too damn exhausted from carrying this team. The rest of the roster sucks.

Yall clearly are not looking at his numbers or watching him play, he is not trash, hes only had two particularly bad games in the last 10. Yes he is turning the ball over a bit, but no he is not playing like trash.

After 12 games, John Wall is ranked 41 in real plus minus among point guards.

Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

He's #224 in real plus minus.
In the past Wall carried the Wizards. This season his play has been detrimental much of the time.

I'm not saying that he is playing like the old wall, but Im not going to say that he is playing like complete trash either. His numbers are down, I think that's more of the system than anything. His per is still sitting at 17, yes he needs to get it together, but lets not send him to the D-league or trade him off for peanuts just yet.

He's not Eric Maynor. Then again, he's getting paid a lot more to be an impactful player. There are going to be growing pains with the new system- then again Wall ran it much better in last season's postseason. Although perhaps Wall play was the result of a small sample size (Kyle Lowry playing injured, the Raptors imploding before our eyes, Paul Pierce being a stretch 4 that only played well because there were no back to backs).

Wall admitted he is out of it mentally. Was it a WaPo article where his AAU coach observed that he wasn't smiling, having fun or bringing energy?
Same article, Wall confirmed that. Also he admitted he's been down on teammates and vowed to bring better body language and to lead better.
He also took umbrage to Randy's substitution patterns. He feels he sits too long and cools off and thinks either he or BB should be in at all times.
Felt like once they got into the Hornets game, the tide had already turned.
(Sorry I can't post the link, but I'm a techno idiot).
What do you all think?
Is this a sign that the Wiz are being rightfully self reflexive and are about to turn things around? Or is it a sign that things are unraveling?

I'm not getting Wall's gripes about playing Wall/Beal together at least for the last game. In the first half, the Wizards were outscored by only a point when both Wall/Beal were not in the game. In the second half, when Wall was out, the Wizards lead only decreased by 2.
Wall is playing the blame game but ultimately as the team's best player, he should take some of the blame. After all, the Wizards were winning 85-80 when he re-entered the game in the 4th quarter and the Wizards were smoked 21-2 run to end the game.
I will question Wittman for playing Gary Neal 17 consecutive minutes. Wittman should have been more creative and found a breather for him. Wall needs to find a way to be more efficient if he is only playing 32 minutes per game- I don't see Steph Curry complaining about not getting enough minutes.
