He's unathletic, unsmooth, and Wake absolutely torched him on defense yesterday. He's still young, but I don't much upside there.

Dean Demakis ‏@deanondraft

Like most of the NCAA freshmen, Thomas Bryant doesn't look like a prospect to me.

Ugh.

I believe little of what this guy Demakis says. I remember that last year he was dissing Porzingis (among others). Having said that, he may be right about Bryant, a player I haven't watched.

Lol, because he missed Porzingis?

Big miss. It may be even worse than Ainge missing Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Any west coast folks or otherwise catch Cal-SDSU last night? Tried to find it but gave up and went to bed.

Anyway seriously thinking Rabb may pass up a bunch of the top tier guys currently mocked in the top 6-7.

SDSU blew Cal out of the gym.

I woke up when the game about 5-6 minutes before half time. Inexplicable choke by Cal in the second half. Anyhow, I'd be surprised if Rabb falls below top 10. He's one of the rare freshman who are productive this season and he's got NBA type of body and athleticism. There's a number of big guys (Ben(der), Skal, Ellenson, Poetl, Stone, Diallo), so his stock is tough to gauge right now.

Rabb seems like a solid rebounder and rim protector, his body and skill comparison right now is John Henson who will always have an NBA role. But Rabb's FT shooting is encouraging to think he could do more in the NBA than Henson who is severely limited by lack of shooting ability.

I love this way Domantas Sabonis rebounds and plays hard. He is the type of big the Celtics. If we can somehow walk away with Domantas Sabonis and the best of Simmons/Bender/Scal, this team will take the next step.

Interesting comp. I think Rabb will end up a lot more skilled player, Henson's FT and TO rates pretty poor, for example.

Henson has been stagnating and declining since his 2nd NBA year, so it's more of what Rabb's worst case but still viable player NBA outlook looks like. Rabb is obviously more gifted player, no question about that.

@Mike_Schmitz: Spartans FR big Deyonta Davis has done a nice job on his body. Similar frame/measurements to Ivan Rabb. Interested to see how he progresses.

@nbadraftblog: Pretty sure Denzel Valentine is everything people hope Jamal Murray might be

Poetl is good defensively, but we need offense - That Vandy kid is mighty impressive looking

Simmons is a pipe dream.

Give me Kris Dunn and I'll be so happy... :droop:

Pope shooting 16% this season. Celtic fans would be thrilled to have him.

If the Nets pick drops down into 5 - 8 range, both Dunn and Ellenson would be terrific consolation prizes.
In fact, those two are likely to be better than a couple of the players drafted ahead of them.
Dunn, of course, has been spectacular, and certainly the Best PG in the Draft, and people have been too
hard on Ellenson. Unlike most of the elite freshmen, he has produced well: 15.2 pts., 9.8 rbs., 2.0 assts.,
1.0 blks. And I expect his 3-point shot will be fine and above average after a couple of years in the Pros.

Valentine vs. Dunn tonight.

Should be one entertaining game.

That kid is making big moves. If we end up with a high pick and he is BPA that has to create an interesting situation.
and that's "MR. Irrelevant" to you!!
