Suns call up Cotton from D-League.

According to Twitter anyway.

Doesn't sound like good news for Bledsoe's knee!!

Really good #s in D league so far. averaging, 22, 4.5, but 13-21 on 3s which is 62%. Probably won't play much soon, but those wishing for a better backup PG might make more sense than Jefferson on the roster. We could put Price with Knight and then play Cotton and Booker. Perhaps Archie and Booker, with Cotton as the alternate backup with Weems.

Maybe this is just a precautionary move to strengthen the PG position.

AZ native, right?
Undrafted but signed a multi-year deal with Spurs.

I'm intrigued.

Could put Archie's minutes down even lower by stealing his PG time.

Possibly cutting Weems?

Or Weems/Archie being packaged up in a trade?

Why on earth are we signing another 6'1 pg? I thought Price was playing very well for us. And is Archie acting like an ass on twitter again?? The day we trade him, he is going to absolutely trash our organization on the way out!

All I want to know is can Cotton protect/dribble/pass the ball? Our guards can't seem to do that. This is why we needed to keep Mickey McConnell from the summer suns squad.

What are you talking about? Bledsoe has a whopping 5.9 apg with only 3.6 turnovers pg! And Knight is right behind him at 5.7 apg and 3.5 turnovers pg.

That is a combined 11.6 apg with only 7.1 turnovers pg!

You know who's fault it is though? Hornacek's. He needs to stop setting up turnover plays.

What happened to Mike James? He was great in the Summer League. Do we have any rights or 'ownership' of him?

I completely forgot about him. It looks like he's in Europe. I don't think he was even on a training camp roster, which is insane given how well he played this summer. I thought he earned at least an invite.

Yeah I was sure someone would snap him up if we didn't. I suppose that shows there's a lot happens behind the scenes we don't know about....
