Re: Around the NBA II
Watching Allen Crabbe develop into a contributor for the Blazers has NOT been one of life's pleasures for me.
I believe Neduardo and myself were looking for the Clippers to draft him.

I agree, as frustrating as it is, Doc wouldn't have played them anyway. Who knows, maybe Wilcox/Bullock could have been a real treat on another team.

Drummond was a guy I wanted to trade DJ for. It looks like Stan Van Gundy knows what's he's doing since losing Josh Smith and Greg Monroe.

Re: Around the NBA II
It's always a wonder if DJ could have developed into some sort of post option if he was on a team that didn't already have a guy like Blake and wasn't in win now mode. He doesn't seem to have the scoring feel to be a great scorer, but he could possibly have floated around 15-16 ppg on 60% FG.
Part of the lack of patience in having him learn through turnover mistakes and getting a feel for passing out of the post, etc was that the team was trying to win. That said, a guy like Drummond, while he's not turnover prone is nothing special in his passing and floor vision. He did struggle a bit with efficiency last season as he was getting the hand of being a scorer.

that's very optimistic isn't it? i have no doubt that at some efficiency he could get to 15 or 16ppg but 60 seems really high
if the team was devoid of talent enough that deandre was getting the necessary shots to get to 15-16ppg, then i don't think he would have the necessary personnel to feed him the ball in positions to score
or you think that he would be refined enough to where you could toss it to him down low and he would create for himself? Not attacking you or anything just wondering where you are coming from.

Re: Around the NBA II
The last two seasons we're talking about 12 pts/36 on 71% FG, in 12-13 he did 13 pts/36 on 64% FG when the team was feeding him. So for example, if you added 3 more FGA over the last two seasons and he only made 33% (he would make more), that would add 2 PPG and bring him up to 14 ppg on 61.2% FG.

Is anyone really surprised? I still can't believe we lost to that team of malcontents.
