No they wouldn't. I think Byron is easily the worst coach in the NBA and that Kobe has been a thorn in the team's side but even still they aren't as good as some of the lower seeded W teams. Enjoy anything positives you see from the young guys and stop thinking this team can compete for a spot.

funny thing is that w/o the one all star (and his entourage coach) this team might actually be able to sneak in to the hunt for a lower seed. Russell looks a whole lot more comfortable, as he gets more consistent, and the other young guys seem pretty respectable. if Kobe was out of the line-up and someone besides Scott was working the rotations, these guys could actually win a few games and maybe get on something like a roll. i'd say next year could be pretty promising, but with this FO...

It took the 12/13 Lakers damn near 40 games to get their plyoff spot when they were 4 games out that year. This team isnt even in the same stratosphere as that team. Stop being a homer and take it for what it is. The team isnt good and the best talent on the team are a rookie and 2 2nd year guys and Roy Hibbert, thats not enough to make the playoffs.

The West this season is a little weak and the Lakers still can't seem to get there act together just tells you how bad the Lakers are from top to bottom.
To steep? What a joke. The Lakers have a quality C and a really nice young trio .. are you telling me the can't go on some sort of run to give themselves a chance? Is this how bad we have fallen?

Mods, these kind of behavior from certain posters wishing a ban on someone is really not a good way to gain reputation of RealGM I never understood why these kind of people are still in the woods...

I'm hoping we go after Noah in the off season - I feel he might be like Gasol and needing a change and having him starting C, HIbbert, back up.
That'll get things going haha.
True. I could see him in DAL or BOS. I think best case Kupchak continues to build the team through the draft.
