Yep. I thought he was a no-brainer at 30.

Let's see how he does...

By the way, Denver got the guy I wanted 2 years in a row: Roby & Shane Ray.

And the year before, they got the guy that might've given us the Super Bowl in Peyton Manning. Of course, he might've also choked in the first round. So who knows?

Well here's your chance. Talib's suspension appeal was upheld and he will miss the next game. I am a bit surprised that his former teammate was the one to review his appeal and upheld it.

Also, in 2013 they signed the FA for whom I was screaming (DRC). They got him for 5 mill', and he went on to have a pro-bowl-caliber year. :(

Patrick Willis is rumored to come out of retirement next year. Anthony Davis is almost guaranteed to come back next year.

Willis has vehemently denied he has even thought about coming back.

Davis better get his ass in tip-top shape like yesterday was too late.

Davis has been tweeting for months his intention to come back. Not sure why this is some hot rumor today. Supposedly, he has been working out during his season off of football.

I admit I was wrong about Matt Ryan. Because Matt Ryan isn't a below-average QB.

Bingo_AlphaMan wrote:Initially you stated that this year there are plenty of QBs with lackluster supporting cast and those same QBs are putting up better numbers than Cam. So I asked you to name me just ten out of those so called many.

I misunderstood the question. I was just listing QBs who have been better than Cam (Oh, and of course I meant Derek Carr not David).

Jay Cutler had terrible supporting casts for years & performed better than Cam. Kaepernick has a terrible supporting cast, and he's been more efficient than Cam. So has Flacco. So has Ryan Tannehill.

And it's not like his efficiency has been medocre this season; it's been near the bottom of the league. He has the most undeserved hype since Michael Vick & Vince Young about a decade ago (and McNabb to a lesser extent).

Sick calls Jameis Winston a Jamarcus Russel clone, but he has 5 passing TDs so far today.
Sick calls Cam Newton the most overrated QB in NFL history since Vick, but he has 5 passing TDs so far today.

Mike Vick had 5-TD days too. He might even be able to move up to 20th in the league in passer rating today. Wow. MVP.

And how 'bout we wait a couple of years before anointing Jamies Winston the next anything? I made a prediction; give it some time. People were saying how great Bradford was after his rookie year too, and I was saying they were out of their minds.

95% of NIner fans called me a moron for saying how overrated Colin Kaepernick was too, but you don't see them coming around to post about how right I was about that. And Colin has had a better a better career than Cam up until this point (obviously Cam has surpassed that mighty threshold after Kaepernick's benching).

There was a game that we were trying to have one more shot at winning and our receiver went backwards to get out of bounds. The referee said that if you go backwards on your own volition, that would be giving yourself up and the clock would still go. Or something like that. I know that the referee said the game was over due to that. Now, when the Bills do it, the referees come out and say that it was a bad call, can anyone clarify this?

Saw on BSPN that Chris Culliver tore his ACL and MCL. Those big contracts are terror in your knees.

Friggn' Romo! He had to get injured & possibly screw up the Niners' chances of getting a QB. :(

Now both Cleveland & Dallas could pose problems. I was hoping Cleveland would get Lynch & the Niners would get Cook or Goff.

It wouldn't have mattered anyway - the Rams are much more aggressive than us when it comes to managing the draft. They will find a way to trade up somewhere within the top 3 picks to land Goff.

After today, it's going to have to be the top 1 in order to get Goff.

I don't see the Browns or Chargers trading out of that spot.

The Niners haven't been this close to being able to get a good QB since Aaron Rodgers IMO (and I mean both Goff and Cook).

Lynch is better than Cook though.

What's wrong with Sean Weatherspoon? He was playing great early on in his career.

Joe Person:

I'm told Panthers-Giants is on radar for @SNFonNBC on Dec. 20. Bengals-Niners currently set for Sun. night. Announcement could come tonight.

I never once said he was a bum; I said he was having a mediocre individual season in the first half of the season. He's been a lot better ever since. And I said Kaepernick clearly had a better first 4 years of his career than Cam, which is true.

And yes, I still think he's terribly overrated (just like I always said about Matt Ryan), and I think he'll pull a Matt Ryan in the playoffs.

Do you realize that Cam's #1 receiver is Ted Friggin Ginn. Do you recall how bad Ted was or where in the pecking order he was when he played for us?! At the moment other than Brady and the Pats, you'd be hard pressed to find a worst WR corp in the NFL. Perhaps the Rams? That's debatable!! Yet he still manages to still find ways to pick defenses apart. I wonder how many of your so called "mediocre QBs" have ever won league MVP?!
