I don't get the hate that PJ gets here. He gives 100% on D. He doesn't take shots away from the other starters, and he is not afraid to get physical. Don't see him whining to the refs or bad body language from the bench. He's a second player on a $2m contract, so don't expect the world from him. When I watch the starters the lack of effort on the D side from Al pisses me off way more than anything PJ does. The way Al jogs back and if his man runs, its a transition bucket. That Cavs game pissed me off every time Mozkov beat Al to the bucket.

Oh I absolutely agree that Al's defense is literally the biggest flaw on our team right now, but a D-Leaguer worth two $#!&s on defense would almost surely be better than PJ. PJ contributes absolutely nothing to the offense. He stays out of the way and misses threes whenever he's open. He basically just exists. I know I sound like a broken record, but CDR would do awesome in PJ's role, because he's as good a defender (probably better) and of course is a WAY better shooter. Honestly, old man Gerald Wallace is still probably better than PJ on both ends. I can't wait until 10-day contracts are available to be signed.

Just checked the boxscore for the first time. Batum had 9 TOs? Lol

I mean it felt like a lot but 9? Wow.

What statistical proof or evidence is there that Hairston is playing better defense than Lamb?

I looked up the advanced stats and it appears that the starting lineup play better defense with Lamb on the floor rather than Hairston

missed the game , frankly as a lin fan it's painful to his minutes shrink. but i heard that he drew 4 fouls in the 4th. Wow that's pretty good.

The experiment of PJ ' MKG replacement" has got to stop sooner or later. He offers pretty much nothing on offence and is never going to provide MKG kind of defense.
Most important of all, it's pretty obvious he got no future with the team, Cho already declined his option and i seriously doubt he will offer PJ a new contract. Once MKG is back, PJ would be out of the rotation immediately.
Just start Lamb so that he can develop chemistry with Kemba/Batum and give PJ minutes to Lin, Harrison or Daniels who might still be around next season

I haven't been able to watch us play much because I moved my family halfway across the country, but how in the world is Hairston shooting 23% from 3?

It's amazing really that a guy can shoot 90% from the line and be that awful from distance. Is he just in terrible shape? That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Maybe its clifford plan to spread the minutes to keep everyone healthy through the season.

It's nice to see a lin fan like you. I hope Lin could shoot better for the rest of this season and help the Hornets to clinch a playoff spot. He will earn his minutes and his coach trust. I believe he is capable to do that. Stay positive!

He's overplaying Kemba now. I really think Kemba has had too many minutes in the last 2 games. He didn't need 40 yesterday, the bench played well yesterday without him. When they falter, yes, bring him back. But they played well, he sort of thew them off in a way. No that he didn't have a good game, he did. But 40 minutes is a lot of minutes.

Problem is some Lin fans don't think Lin has to earn anything no matter how much you tell them the realities of the NBA. They think Lin deserves minutes based on his game. He does and he doesn't and he's in the context of Charlotte now. And he has plenty of opportunities in future games. If he shoots better and is more a factor when on the floor with Kemba, he'll play more. That's what is holding him back. The idea Cliff holds him back is really something that is not the case. But Cliff isn't going to cater to Lin and if they expect that, they are in for a long, disappointing season. Enjoy the team and their winning and Lin will emerge as a big player in some of the games. Putting a microscope on Lin and needing him to have more minutes may not lead to that. He's the 2nd unit PG and sometimes on the floor with Kemba. That's his role in Charlotte. Accept it. And that may be his role for the rest of his career, no one has a crystal ball but it may happen.

I don't think Clifford cares of what Lin Fans say. He will makes his decision based on what the Hornets need. I'm not saying Clifford will never make a wrong decision, but i believe if Lin plays better he will earn his minutes. I agree with you, Kemba shouldn't play a lot of minutes, it will wear him down when playoff comes (i believe we will clinch a playoff spot this season). Call me crazy, but i think "the good" Kemba showed up earlier this season because now he has a true competitor in Lin for the PG spot.

Right, Kemba is positively influenced by Lin and Lin can benefit from getting his handle tighter a la Kemba and utilizing his mid-range more. And they can figure out how to be a force together when on the court together. It's great. And who benefits most. The team and Clifford is the coach so he has more options. Just got to keep Kemba and Lin healthy, both have had physical injuries last season.

I won't call you crazy, but the real reason is the fact that Kemba is finally playing with wing players that are competent deep threats in Batum and Lamb, something Kemba hasn't had in a Charlotte uniform but briefly in CDR during his 5 year career here

Yeah, you're right that's the real reason.
