His TS and WS/48 are decent for the last 3 seasons... fits EG's mold... 30.......and uhhh...mediocre?

The part I guess I missed....was Blair waived? Was this the Webster injury exception?

Hate this, Hennry Sims, and Greg Smith are all still out there on the market. No reason why Ryan Hollins should have been our first go too. This is one of my biggest pet pevs with our front office. When we need to pick up a guy, we don't ever try to improve the team by doing so. Look and try to find that diamond in the rough that could earn heavy minutes. But no, its always, lets grab a vet body, can he still play, nope, just need a body.

Greg Smith is such a better option, he actually did well in rotation mins with the Rockets a couple seasons ago then had that achilles injury and had a hard time getting back to full strength with the Mavs. He can bang the boards and has a few good post moves to work with. Would've been a much better diamond in the rough pickup.

Hollins is just a scrub, actually a non-rebounding 14th man on the bench scrub

Henry Sims is destroying the D league right now. Give that man a contract! The worst part is , whats the harm of signing a young guy to see if you strike gold? Like worst case you release them, and come on, Hollins is not going to be here in a month.

Agreed on Henry Sims, at least he has some plausible upside. Typical EG move.

I have no tears left, this is how Ernie will conduct the rebuild too. Actually doing some scouting and research to see if there is as you say a "diamond in the rough", is too-much work for EG.

After all of these years I think what he actually does is look at a sheet with a potential FA's resume, then he picks the guy who's "been around".

While not confirmed, it is expected that the Wizards made use of the Disabled Player Exception they filed for in the wake of Martell Webster's hip surgery earlier this month. Hollins would be signing for half of Webster's salary slot, worth $2.85 million.

Ryan Hollins?

Ryan Hollins.

RYAN Hollins?

Ryan Hollins. Sigh.

Words that come to mind when I look at Hollins' performance through his 9 years: journeyman, scrub, stiff, bench-warmer.

Hollins career PPA is 40. Keep in mind that in PPA, 100 = average, higher is better, and replacement level is 45.

Bright side? Last season he posted the best PPA of his career -- a 66 in 441 minutes with the Kings.

Henry Sims is 25 years old, and each of his three seasons have been better than Hollins' best.

I have no words. I really don't. I don't even get this signing at all. Does he even have any ins with the team or something? I swear to god this was some kind of a dartboard signing. That's the only thing that makes sense.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm so **** tired of this ****.

For his career: 1042 fouls, 975 rebounds.

Let that sink in. Virtually one foul for every rebound. Ryan Hollins.

:(

For frame of reference, Dejuan Blair: 2113 rebounds, 965 fouls

Guys, he's a veteran presence!

Now don't you feel silly for questioning the move.

Besides, Ernie couldn't find Hilton Armstrong (who even has more lifetime rebounds than fouls and is the same age as Hollins).

Hollins is one of those guys who can pass an eye test. Problem is (for anyone other than EG), he just can't play organized basketball.
