Brett Brown is a terrible coach. Once again, our lineup with TJ and Noel was cooking. Once again he benches them for Canaan and Okafor and we start blowing the lead. Time and time again, he does this.

I want a coach worried about getting his top rookies development minutes, not watching the win losses like a hawk. If there is a tradeoff there, so be it. Go listen to Twolf fans complain about Dieng getting minutes over Towns, Miller over Lavine, and Prince over Shabazz and feel thankful.

(And yes, I want Noel getting minutes as much as possible as well)

As much as it pains some fans we need Noel and OK4 on the floor together as much as possible. We need to see if they can co-exist.

as a side note:

IMO if we had a average NBA PG we might have 5 or 6 wins right now, and if Nik could give us anything

A lot of Duke fans are saying he's soft, has no confidence, bad body language

I really hope to get this guy (already a fan since last year).

3 possibilities to get him:
- we get him with our pick, if we fall out top 3
- we get him with Lakers' pick
- we trade Noel or Okafor for a pick to get him

This draft is just weak overall and difficult to predict, and therefore to draft, Hinkie is going to have to earn his salary by scouting and finding gems.

Agreed, I don't see a superstar in this draft. Denzel Valentine could be a nice find for the Miami/OKC pick.

Idk about Valentine. He's playing great but is it a reflection of him being superbly coached and the fact he's a man amongst boys out there?

My boy Melo dropped 23 and 12 on North Carolina last night, going 4/5 from deep. He's an intriguing NBA prospect, good size, not super explosive but great strength and handles, has a bit of Steph Curry in him. If Sixers miss out on a PG in the lottery, would love to see him on the Sixers with the Miami/OKC pick.

Completely agree, I can't comment on Bender, cause I haven't seen him but this draft lacks any high end talent. Outside of Simmons there really isn't any clear cut possible star players, forget a superstar

This is exactly why it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the Lakers pick doesn't convey this year. Next year's draft is much better. I don't see the Lakers adding any big free agents and making a huge leap in the standings.

I wouldn't be surpised to see the Lakers land a pair of FAs like Whiteside and DeRozan.

I would be surprised, but even if they do, they are not winning enough to not give up a top5-7 pick, DeRozan is not a game changer.

it's a really weak draft, so of course we'll finally have 100 1st round picks, and still not have the #1 pick for the lol's.

Hinkie has to earn his money this summer in more ways than none.

That's pretty crazy, in my opinion. Right now the OKC and Miami picks are in the mid-20s. If LA becomes a contender next year or even just good enough to get out of the lottery (they'll have 50M to spend), your Lakers pick will be at least in the high teens. It would be tragic if all your assets are turned into late picks.

how are the Lakers going to become a   contender   ? they have nothing to attract FA and they are not in the position to make moves via trade, who are they going to add? best case scenario is paying +20m$/y for freaking DeMar DeRozan.
