Let's get the band back together or Is it time to break up the band?
Our backstreet boys- is it the end of the road?(wrong boy band rite?)
Chemistry is still a factor but certain things are already obvious. Last year we were hoping that the spacing that Bosh provided would help with the disparity in usage numbers and create more opportunities but he's also a very high usage player that isn't the most willing passer and results early have been very stagnant basketball from our starters. Can they overcome all this and somehow find a way to work or is the break up inevitable?
My break-up ensembles
Dragic/Green/Deng/Winslow/Whiteside; Bench- Tj/Wade/Rich(or Winslow PF and SF like how were using Bosh as a center on the bench now)/ McBob(or Bird or Amar'e)/Bosh
More guards to help Whiteside get more attention downlow offensively/ hand Dragic the keys to the starters. Wade/McBob can make all the funky passes they want to.
or
Dragic/Green/Winslow/Bosh/Whiteside; Bench- Tj/Wade/Deng/McBob/Bosh
Here Dragic gets a chance to run how he wants to and McBob gets to play with better slashers and another playmaker.
In both scenario's scratching the starters strengthens our bench so we can go back to blowing teams out like we're suppose to be
Going to happen sooner or later or nah? our schedule's only getting tougher so we'll see...

So you want bench both Wade and Bosh because..we lost 1 game. Great post. Wouldn't look idiotic after a couple of wins. Not at all.

Not based on one game, based on overall performance. We haven't looked really good in some of our wins either...
Question was, is the break up of the starters inevitable? I'm guessing that you're saying no and that they're going to be fine... you coulda' said that and why you think they will work out

Regardless of the chemistry issues we all been talking about for weeks, that post is a mess and I don't feel like explaining why benching our 2 highest paid, most accomplished, best, biggest stars, will not happen, not realistic in the slightest and is not the solution in any way, shape or form.

I mean... it's all speculation, none of us have the power to make these moves... it's just forum talk. You just said that it's not the solution, so I'll put you down for saying that it wouldn't work... because they are the highest paid.

yeah there are definitely "chemistry" issues on this team.notice that when dwade play without dragic that he tends to put better numbers and viceversa? also there is the lack of 3 point shooting in the offense that is hurting this team as well.something that should have been provided by the acquisition of green and mcbob and both players have been played really bad on a regular basis with green being the better offensive threat than the former.but on top of that we have a pretty crazy coach that sometimes pull out the hot player/s and screw with the rotation and then the whole team shows at times that they even werent ready to play.

I really think our main problem is inconsistency. When our team is playing well we can beat anyone except Golden State and (possibly) San Antonio. The defense keeps us in the game. The problem is we cannot maintain our game over 4 quarters.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

Inconsistency is going to happen when there's a complete reluctance to play team ball. And I'm not saying that they're not trying, it's just not in their games. might need to include more role players... my worries are because the starters have actually never looked natural or good for any extended period of time until they got staggered by the bench. Starting to feel like more than a lack of chemistry. Not saying that it's definite, but definitely seeming more plausible
Lebron/Wade/Bosh worked because Bron and Wade were so compatible (hell Lebron could play with dolphins) but time will tell is all that's to be said

Sorry but i cant see this happening at all.
But if someone was to get benched it should be Dragic, for T Johnson not Wade, & Bosh. But even that is to early they need more time together before jumping the gun.

It's cool man, my thread was created to embrace the openness. It came out as reactionary anyway, some things people don't want to talk about so early. I think the starters looked better ball movement wise last game, I think they could work if Dragic/Wade keep finding ways to create for each other and if we limit the Bosh iso's. We could do with a little less Wade iso's also but when he's driving getting to the hoop and getting people good shots he can be really productive. I'd draw more iso's (if any)for Hassan and get Bosh to play more off the ball pnr/pnp instead of this chit we run for him every game that usually results in a long two (honestly feel like he would be more efficient as a catch-and-shoot player like before)
Spoiler:
We finally got to see a few (Maybe 2-3) Dragic/Bosh PnR's, so the chemistry's getting there. With Hassan cloggin' the lanes, I think it would be better for us.

Goran needs to stop over-thinking and start taking shots instead of looking to assist.

That's the thing for me, can he(we) find a way to work with all the ego's at hand. It's been a stigma for awhile now that teams can't win without role players and we're definitely challenging that theory this year. I'm not sure how comfortable I am about us and those odds. We have an unusually talented team, I think it's interesting to see whether they work together or eventually have to spread into the rotations later on. Maybe they gel more when they gain some chemistry but I'd be weary of it, if it were at the expense of the production of a big piece.
I don't think it's out of the question to bench any of our starters if it's collectively recognized to strengthen our team either... we have guys who know how to win and understand sacrifice

Bench wade and bosh? Come on...
I want to see dragic running the offense more when wade is on the court. He's the point guard. That's his job! I want to see wade play off the ball more like he did with lebron. Doesn't have to completely step aside like during the big 3 era but he needs to do it more. It's painful to watch him sometimes. Loses the dribble or dribbles it off his foot. His body can't keep up with what his mind wants to do.
