Re: Brandon Ingram
It's been five games. He has 30+ more to go. Who's to say he won't improve throughout the year?

He absolutely could turn it around but, right now it doesn't look to good for him

Simmons is way better than Russell, but defense is so much more important than draftniks and a lot of teams appreciate.
And Ingram has lockdown defensive talent at SF, possibly at SG, with some great defensive ability at PF as well. And center length on top of it.
Great argument. A whole eight games into his career, and D'Angelo's not a superstar.
No. Russell is not even good. much less a "superstar." this has always been the case.

You may have a career in scouting. Look into it.

Ya it just doesnt look good for him right now. He just seems so outmatched physically and he doesnt have the athleticism or skill level yet to over come it. Durant was very skinny, but his skill level was so high it didnt matter. Ingram cant get comfortable out there and it has showed. He is really struggling, most guys who are OAD dont struggle as badly as Ingram is right now. And its not like his competition is going to lighten up for him.

Try ownership.

I see Tayshaun Prince but a lesser version at this point. Movement and mechanics are similar. Lazy look also. Durant comp is a forced one.

He is the youngest guy in this class kind of, even if he doesnt do much more and plays off the bench, he could be chosen top10 just out of potential and due to the weak look of this class.

18 in 1st half vs Indiana
Pull ups, slashing, transition buckets and catch + shoot

Re: Brandon Ingram
2nd straight game that Ingram was scoring in a variety of ways. Now the first game was against Indiana who doesnt play defense and tonights game was against Buffalo. So not top tier competition, but still good to see him hitting open shots that he was missing to start the year.

Not top tier competition but he is looking more comfortable out there. Very positive sign, cause this draft looks weak

Re: Brandon Ingram
If he continues to improve I think he will give Simmons a run at the number 1 spot.

Agreed. The biggest takeaway for me is his intensity. He seems to be playing with much more of a fire. Looking forward to how he performs against better defenses

Re: Brandon Ingram
3rd straight really impressive game. Now all 3 were against terrible defenses but at least he's showing that potential many have talked about. If he can keep this up against better teams he may give teams another guy to think about at #1. Only half an inch shorter (much weaker though) than Simmons. But he is longer and a better man defender, and his scoring skill set is much much better than Simmons. Doesn't have the vision or passing ability that Simmons has

Re: Brandon Ingram
Solid nº1 in my board right now, just too much upside, basically a 6'10 SG with resemblence of a two way game, shooting ability, handle, and elite length, he is much more adaptable and almost 2 years younger than Simmons.
I can make a case for Bender over Ben too, but still premature.
They are the clear top3 anyway, and I think Rabb sits at 4th right now for me.

Ingram almost 2 years younger than Simmons?...... Try almost 14 months....
In terms of making a case for Bender over Ben, please stop reaching. It's clear that you have a vendetta against Ben's game to the extent you're letting your emotions get the best of you.
Over 7 games, Bender is averaging 2.1 ppg (yes, that's two(point)one) @ 33% FG playing 10.5 mpg in Euroleague (I get it's a good league, but don't get too distracted from the stats). Not a single stat category across the board is even remotely impressive. I really like him as a prospect, but anyone contemplating drafting him over Simmons given what we've seen so far needs their head checked imo.
Simmons and Ingram are the clear Top 2, that's undeniable.
