No defense in that one...his FT shooting minimizes the validity of the "he can't shoot" comments.

All of his shots in the paint. I need to see a similar statline against a real opponent before I go crazy over him.

Simmons feast on crappy teams and has lost 3 games already, he played a D1 team yesterday basically.
He is the hands down 1st overall pick, but that doesnt mean that he is a surefire superstar or that he is not flawed, you need to put his games in context, he has shot less than 5 shots outside of the zone in 7 games.
Still think that Odom is a fair comparison, slighlty more aggresive, less of a shooter, in terms of scoring, worse defender for sure, less versatile too (Odom could play 3 positions, and defend Centers).

Dunn is looking like a less athletic Westbrook.

People criticizing Simmons can't see the forest for the trees.

Im not counting on a 2nd top 5 pick up at all. The Lakers have the 2nd worst record and likely aren't improving anytime soon this season. Add in the history of the franchise and the fact that an all time great is retiring in Kobe Bryant and the tables set for a LA #1 pick lottery. Simmons goes to LA, joins a young nucleus and suddenly the NBA's star studded Lakers on trending upward again.

Already see it happening now.

No way I'd pick Murray ahead of Dunn or Jackson honestly.
Simmons fit is going to be a problem but if you get the 1st pick you have to draft him at this point.
You might move anybody from Noel, Embiid or Okafor anyway.

agree, I like Murray but there is something that "bothers" me about him.

I don't think he has the athleticism\height to be a full time SG, and I don't think he has the vision to be a full time PG.

LOVE Dunn

I wish Ulis was 4 inches taller

DX updated their mock.

a couple of questions:
What has Skal shown to be ranked #1.
How is Ingram ranked #3
what has Murray done/not done to be dropped to #7??

All draft sites operate under the hive mind mentality. None of them have the courage to make their own rankings or drop guys down the boards unless everyone else does it. Draftexpress has gone to s*** over the years.

I could be wrong on this, but DX tends to be slow in shifting guys much one way or the other. While some sites maybe a little more like 'hot takes' that drastically change from week to week... i think dx tends to stick with their scouting placement until it becomes clear that someone needs drastic change.

Watched Providence against Hartford yesterday. Kris Dunn was impressive, of course he can't shoot but he does attract attention and he can really pass the ball. I wouldn't be mad if we drafted him. I still like Demetrius Jackson over him though, but I'd be fine with either one.

I think Odom is the most spot on comparison. I've been saying that one for awhile. He's great against these inferior athletically teams. We have to remember he did this against North Florida. Not Florida but North Florida. All of his points come in the paint. He's clearly the #1 prospect this year, but as of right now, he's not a good defender and he has some huge red flags when it comes to half court offense. His jumper is beyond suspect. It's so bad he doesn't even attempt them

Which leads to Sixers fans crapping all over his game.

We had better get this one, tank 4.0 and Okafor will be running me over while I jump off the Ben Franklin Bridge.

Ingram looking good against Indiana would love to end up with Simons and Ingram I would then do jah for nets plus smart trade I think Ben will learn to shoot so he can slot at the 3

Noel
Saric
Simmons
Ingram
Dunn
As a starting 5 looks damn good
