Need a solid bounce back performance to put that GSW loss behind us. Mirotic is still in the starting lineup for CHI, and I still hope that Cliff slips Frank in with the starters because I don't really want to watch him get pushed around by Gibson in the second unit.

Would love to see a Kemba - Batum - Marv - Frank - Cody starting lineup. Let Hansbrough and Hawes battle with Gibson and Noah in the second unit.

Marv checks Butler, Batum checks Snell, Frank can handle Mirotic and Cody matches up well with Gasol.

I like your suggested starting lineup. I was trying to think of ways to keep PJ out of the rotation in the last game thread but I missed the most elegant solution, which is just moving Marv to SF and starting Frank. It keeps Lamb as the go to scorer on the second unit and completely removes PJ from the rotation. Tyler/Hawes frontcourt on the second unit could get ugly on offense, but its probably our best option.

I'm fine with starting PJ if he can play defense. If he's getting roasted like he was last night, it just doesn't make sense.

My solution is more because we have better depth in our bigs, and I think Frank's contributions on both ends offset whatever harm we'll have in allowing Marv to play PJ's role defensively.

You're seriously underestimating the Kemba fan group.

The best starting team to satisfy fan groups is Kemba, Lin, lamb, frank and Zeller.

Have batum, pj, Marv, psycho t and Hawkes backing up.

Frank to starting lineup for 5-6 minutes is a good idea and maybe some in 2nd unit as well. PJ can play sparingly. Lin/Lamb stay in the 2nd unit but play more, Kemba less in 2nd unit with them. Batum continues to be in both. More Psycho T on 2nd unit may actually work well if he can PnR with Lin and stay out of foul trouble. Hawes is just ugly, but sometimes he does something decent on the floor. Play a gritty game.

Im a UCONN fan and I Lamb staying exactly where he is. I like his roll and that's what's best for the team. I root for the Hornets not Uconn guys. Please don't bunch us in with the Lin fan base that's a low blow.

I'm not a lin fan, and I agree with your statement that Kemba has been better this season. I just am not sold on Kemba like you guys are yet, he has had stretches every season, were he looked fantastic and then goes back to being the inefficient chucker he's always been. I have no qualms with Kemba overall this season just hope that little 10 game explosion was not a blip per usual.

I wouldn't say I'm really sold. I believe in Kemba and think he will continue to change his game for the better, but as of now he is still at least partially unproven for the exact reason you stated. He has to put it together for an entire season, but so far he does seem much more consistent. I think the much more talented roster he is playing with this season has helped him tremendously.

The competition isn't exactly analogous. Al, PJ, and Kemba play the most minutes against starters. Hawes almost never vs starters. Lin, Lamb, Frank, and Cody are all clustered playing more v backups then starters.

I do think the Kemba and Lin discussions are tired since Lin is pg in name only, at least on offense. Kemba is getting more PT for a couple reasons and in part because I think Clifford has lost faith in Lin the PG. With Lamb starting the second half and PJ only playing a few minutes vs the Warriors it'll be interesting if Roberts gets more run again over PJ.

He is the first option, he will get plenty of opportunities to pad his stats. There is no reason to chuck it up. He should get his teammate involve. Batum shouldn't be the one with the most assist.

Exactly. I'm a Lin fan but this is ridiculous. Kemba is doing better in most stats, maybe not on the defensive end as much, but on the offensive end. But even on the defensive end, rebounds, blocks, steals, maybe Lin only leads in blocks. And Kemba is miles better in ball handling and setting the offense up. Lin still stumbles with his dribble under pressure.

Lin and Kemba are team mates and like each other. They both contribute. Lin is doing OK directing the bench to keep leads or get the team back. Lin will do more when he gets more acclimated with the team and the chances present themselves like in the OT with the Kings game. Just hang tight and enjoy that he's on a winning team that's fun to watch vs. the joke that is the Lakers now.
