Good McGinn article on how the Packers rarely make in season moves and how attached Thompson gets to "his" players.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I feel pretty confident about this game. Probably shouldn't after last week but I will still take Rodgers in a controlled environment pretty much every time and expect a big game out of him tonight.

At least both teams had a complete week off.

He had me until he tried to insinuate that Mike Sherman was a good GM because he cut more guys and had a better winning percentage.

The article seems to hit at the wrong angle. The way I read it based on the first few paragraphs and the title is that job security is a problem. Ummm, I guess you can say guys get complacent but these guys are only guaranteed this year and still fighting for a job the next year. Competition sounds great but 90% of the time you are more productive and better worker if you know your role is secure and you can focus on performing your duties without looking out for yourself. Not sure how shuffling guys in and out the door (especially at low-end roster spots) helps this team to perform on Sunday.

If this article focused on either willingness to move guys into better positions to succeed, make general adjustments, or move on from not guys who just don't cut it...fine. But this article makes it sound like they should cut guys just to light a fire under their ass, which seems like something a desperate franchise would do.

It's ok, we're still winning the superbowl. We're going to blow Detroit out in a statement game.

I think the guys who have defined roles on the team are the ones who are complacent. The OL as a whole has underperformed this season. Lacy has underperformed (injury or fatness). Aaron has underperformed. All the coaching staff says every week is, "We had a good game plan, just didn't execute." But yeah, you can't just cut guys to light a fire under their asses. It starts at the top.

Wtf, we're playing tonight?

Glad we picked up Crockett. This is the kind of thing that typically happens when another team threatens to sign a guy. He looked like the superior talent to me.

How did so many not know we played tonight? The amount of commercials this weekend were draftkings/fanduel esque.

One change to expect on #Packers D tonight: Rookie Jake Ryan will either start or have a more prominent role at ILB over Nate Palmer.

No shyiiiiit. I can't stand Palmer's game. We've seen enough. ST'er and back-up for life. I wonder if this has to do w/ Ryan and a nagging injury. He had a hamstring (?) or some other nagging injury earlier in the season. Regardless, we absolutely need Ryan to step-up. Glad he's getting the chance.

I really really hope we don't continue to suck on offense tonight. It's bad enough watching the Bucks. I took the Packers offense for granted.

Wholeheartedly agree. Crockett possessed flashes of being a complete back. Harris is a one-cut mauler. We already had Lacy. Didn't understand it then. Happy to see the promotion! I hope he gets some touches.

or just by being a fan of the team you should know.
