Any chance Jeff can be fired tomorrow? After losing to Memphis? Or do we have to wait until the entire road trip is finished?

Sarver here. Yes, there is always a chance I will do anything that pleases me. Who are you anyway? Get out of my arena! You're fired!

Price had more minutes than Booker? Len with only 15 minutes? Mirza with 7 whole minutes? He didn't even play Goodwin. I wonder if we will ever have a coach that actually plays our younger players
It could always be worse. Like, for example, we could be on the 1 yard line with a chance to win at the end of the Super Bowl with Marshawn Lynch in the backfield and decide to pass it. That one just came to mind.

Or you could be up 3 in the sixth game of the NBA finals and miss key free throws, when afterwards the best 3pt shooter ever destroys your championship dreams.

I believe he got called for a delay of game, which would have been Phoenix 's second one and thus a technical foul.

Re: Game 20: Phoenix Suns (8-11) @ Washington Wizards (7-9)
Another strike against Jeff in this one.
So we have a healthy lead in the 4th, Washington roll the dice on quick points by running out a small ball lineup of 4 offensive guards with Dudley, and...
...we counter with Bled, Knight (good so far)... Price, Tucker and Kieff? None of which are consistent offensive threats.
We essentially took away our own defensive/ rebounding advantage by matching their size, while at the same time playing 2 on 5.
No excuse for not running out Bled, Knight, Booker, Warren, and either Leuer or Tele (so we still have the biggest guy on the court, with all plus rebounders.
No justification for playing Keiff in the end there, and as usual it cost us another win. Just send his ass home already.

Another loss due to:
- turnovers
- second chance opportunities
- inability to close games
How many years have we been struggling with these issues now?
Also, I usually don't criticize Hornacek's rotations too much but:
2 points down, 8 seconds left, at the free throw line. THIS IS WHEN YOU PUT YOUR BEST REBOUNDERS IN THE GAME. Why the hell weren't Len and Leuer substituted back in?

Also known as NC State sh*t. Russell and Pete Carrol equals double NC State sh*t. Sorry guys I don't have the heart to watch the game tonight. Last nights brutal lions loss was enough for me. I will watch this game tomorrow. Sounds like much of the same tonight.

I like the players in your second lineup better, and perhaps we win with them, but it appears that with a healthy lead he feels defense is the most important thing. Which, in theory, is correct, usually. But it hasn't been working and Kieff keeps making the types of calls that are costing us games. It's like McD wants a lottery pick and is telling him "I'll trade you if you commit a few offensive fouls in the last minute when we are in position to win a game." I mean, seriously...Kieff has basically done things that have cost us two games. We may have lost anyway, but that is blatant.
Kieff does need to be benched. Whether or not that is up to Hornacek I don't know, but my guess would be that it's not. However, I will say that if he is instructed to give Kieff minutes, he, at this point can certainly leave him out of games at the end. I wouldn't go so far as to say McD is demanding him to close games.

OK the Suns need to trade Keef and this is the first time I'm saying this. Its obvious that this guy is sneakingly sabotaging the team. Jeff just put himself in the hot seat with these poor coaching decisions especially in the 4th and right now I wouldn't mind D'Antoni coaching this team. This team should be 13-7 instead of 8-12

I'm mostly pissed that Hornacek didn't coach Knight to shoot free throws better in the final seconds. How can you draw up missed free throws? Seriously, he needs to go.

Do you seriously think we can ever achieve any kind of success in this league with this guy running the show?
To make the playoffs and win in the playoffs you have to win a close game every once in a while. I have never seen a coach routinely make the wrong substitutions at the end of games the way Jeff does every night.

Not with this roster, no. And I don't see any other candidates out there that would either.

If you go to the a Wiz board you will find we are pretty down on our team, and have been for a long time. If you've ever gotten a different impression it must of been from the optimistic vocal minority.

When Knight was taking those 3 free throws. Washington brought in their 7 footer, Hollins, in an attempt to secure the board in case Knight missed. It seems like the most basic substitution to make - bring your 7+ center , albatross wing span, center back in the game. In case you miss the free throw, you have the chance to grab the offensive board or maybe even tip in it for the tie.
Len had more offensive rebounds this game in 15 minutes than Morris and Teletovic combined, might have been an opportune moment to substitute him back in the game for one of those guys.
