Didn't realize the Cats were in a tourney and if they win tonight play Providence next and likely Michigan St in the championship. Would be nice to see them take care of that but those next two games, especially one against MSU would be tough.

That loss against Providence was tougher than the loss against the Warriors. I think we would have gotten killed by Michigan St though without Zeus.

This loss wasn't the worst thing in the world in avoiding MSU. We're just not ready yet.

Agreed, but a win against Providence and a loss against MSU probably is better for seeding purposes later. But we likely have a consolation game which would help a bit, but if we lost that, it would hurt bad.

But I don't expect AZ to even be a sweet 16 team necessarily. We don't seem as nearly stacked as usual. I am not a huge fan of PJC.

I think the staff thought he would grow since committing that early. He looks the exact same as he was in HS. Too scrawny for D1 hoops. I miss TJ.

There's also strong indications that Josh Jackson has told the staff he's Arizona bound but we'll see.

Wow, I hadn't heard about 2016 recruits or prospects yes, but #1 ranked overall? I also read an article about him from a scout saying he's the best SG recruit he's ever seen. But I can't find anything indicating he's leaning AZ. As a matter of fact, what I read said he could be leaning Michigan St. It's amazing we don't have on recruit yet.

Lauri Markkanen committed last month. He'll replace Anderson.

And yes JJ would be the best recruit ever if he came to AZ.

Everyone should be coming back to AZ other than Seniors, York, Tollefsen, Anderson and Tarczewski, if AZ gets Josh, the team could be special.

Allen/Jackson-Cartwright
Trier/Simon
Jackson/Pitts
Smith/Markkanen
Ristic/Comanche

Sort of smallball ultra-athletic with good depth.

Jackson is a lot bigger than Ray Smith but it's hard to imagine him without any lost explosiveness after tearing both his ACL's.

They are both about the same size 6'8 and 200lbs, but Jackson is more of perimeter player, and of course, likely better athlete after Smith injuries.

I believe with the Karma we've had for the last five seasons, we finally deserve, no matter where we land in the lottery, to WIN IT.

Ben Simmons final line tonight:
43 points
15-20 FG
14 rebounds
7 assists
5 steals
3 blocks

And this is surprising. Look at those starters points for the winning team...that's pretty rare in college ball. http://espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=400814224

Usually in college you see high scoring games by players but what I like fron Ben Simmons is his all around game. Nearly every game he's close from recording a triple double. He's a team player and those type of players last long in the NBA.

8.2% CHANCE (I've been corrected that it is actually 2.2% but I am going to leave 8.2% chance here because in this circumstance I choose hope over reality)

Do the simulator (whoever gets the #1 pick in the simulator I will advise Sarver to represent our team at the draft lottery)...as Ben Stiller would say DO IT!

Damn, I guess I was looking at top 3, and someone else lost since then to move ahead of us.

When your record is tied (like PHX and POR currently), they randomly choose your order.

It would seem we'd be below them since we beat them twice.

Don't worry guys, with how we've been playing we'll have at least a 15% chance at getting him by season's end.

My coleague has played against Ben Simmons down here in Oz as a kid, my coleague was a 20 years old then and Ben made everyone look like they were 40 years old... As fast and athletic he is i still think he wont dominate via athleticism but via his all round skills... Potentially a better Diaw slash Odom... Which would thrive in today's modern push for 3pters and ball movement... And small ball.
