mike criticizes wes for taking a nice rhythm very open 3 pt shot because blake made 2 in a row. has never said a thing about jamal doing that crap when cp3 and blake are on a roll.

this team has so many issues it's ludicrous. maybe first and foremost is dj being the dj of 2 or 3 years ago. terrible box outs, bad defense followed by occasional good defense, and add in 37% ft shooting or whatever he's at. dear god

never would have pegged dj as a contract year guy. he just does not care about boxing out or rebounding anymore.

Is it me or have both Jamal Crawford and Wes Johnson played decently in this game while Blake seems to be lost a few times. I have the game playing in the background but every time I look up Wes and Crawford are doing work in an under-controlled manner within the offensive scheme. Meanwhile, I keep seeing Blake trying to do too much with turnovers and forced shots. BG has a decent statline but he doesn't look the same as he was earlier in the season.

yeah they've really attacked blake tonight. he could be a lot better on defense and he's forced the issue on offense a lot.

most everyone has seemed disengaged for most of the night except for the past couple mins.

Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. DJ never really seemed to prioritized winning. He's more concerned about getting recognition as a star without putting in the actual work or earning it. He's been mentally fragile and just seems more concerned about celebrity than competing.

He's not exactly a cancer but he's definitely not someone who leads by example. You hear him talk about wanting to be more involved in the offense yet he doesn't concern himself with how he can actually contribute, especially given his bad free-throw shooting. Yeah, he's putting in work to improve, but it's more from obligation than internal drive. He lacks that quality that both Blake Griffin and Chris Paul possess.

While other players are talking about why we're losing games and such, I either hear from DJ the cliched soundbytes that are barely more than empty words or superficial stuff like how he is looking forward to free agency or how the Deck-a-DJ tactic is making him miss his reservations. He's not a winner plain and simple.

This is why I've never felt he was a max player, but on the other hand, I recognize how important he is to us. It's a double-edged sword, but something that plagues this team whenever we're vulnerable. I'm not at all opposed to eventually dealing him, but it has to be the right deal given how this team is built.

Just got up and saw we were down by 8. Watched a bit of the gamecast and we were somehow up by 1. Said ok, time to get my butt out of bed and over to the PC. Hope we pull this one out.
