Curry's last five games: 34 points in 33 minutes
. Ain't he supposed to be falling to Earth?

Scary thing is, Curry doesn't seem to be on a hot streak. It seems like he's simply that good of a player right now. Jesus.
Fantastic performance by Lowry, too. Easily the third best PG this season.

Watching this dude play in person is other worldly. You can hear the groans every time he looks like he might attempt a shot. It's electrifying.

Curry has 28 pts in the 3rd quarter in the last game and sits out the 4th with 40pts.
LBJ puts up 23 pts in the 4th against the Pelicans but can't close it out and scores 0 in OT.
Steph against the Raptors in Toronto goes one better and puts up 44 and gets the W on the road against a good Raptors team.
Yup, best in the game right now for sure!

His improvement from his recruitment days to now is just unreal. Dude went from not getting recruited by most D1 schools to having one of the greatest seasons in NBA history. From being dismissed as a weak, underathletic, undersized chucker to revolutionizing the game and single handedly forcing us to rethink what is possible on a basketball court.

Haven't had the pleasure myself, but I can believe it. I can't remember a time a player has been this exciting.

Re: The Stephen Curry Thread (2015-16 Pt. 1)
The Warriors and the spurs me if the Spurs find their groove offensively, will be, interesting.
Spurs on defense are 9.9 points above league average, and 5 points better than second place
That's in the peak Celtic dynasty realm.
They should be able to get a top 10-5 offense come playoff time.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are +11.9 on offense, and 6.2 points above league average.
For comparison, peak offense Bulls didn't crack 2 points above league average.
It's also basically double what the 66-67 76ers did on that end... The lead above league average is even more than double
05 Suns were 2.3 points above second, and 8.4 above league average
So we basically have the best offense ever, versus what looks to be nearly the best defense in the modern era, or at that level.
I'd ddefinately say the the Spurs should end up better on offense compared to the Warriors on defense (like, 3rd versus 5th)
Warriors have a shot to break 73, and the Spurs, despite adjusting Aldridge to their system, are on a 66 win pace
The Warriors are far better right now, and would probably win in 5 or 6 if a series started today, but if the Spurs get Aldridge into their system, and it works, they might be as unstoppable

The good thing about living in Chicago is I'm about 1:30 away from Milwaukee and nobody watches the Bucks so it's pretty easy to avoid the LeBron/Kobe/Warriors tax. 400 level tickets at the Bradley center are a little above $50 for the game on Saturday, so I'm gonna see if I can organize a trip up to see the Dubs.

Curry is pretty much as good as you can get as a offensive player right now not to mention he changes the way the game is played because he shoots from downtown better and more often then anyone who every played. I really looking forward to the spurs because Leonard is the guy to that can **** up Curry and probably the only one. As said before in this thread the spurs are playing atg defense i will be hard but i am hoping the Spurs com through would love Duncan to get another ring.

Wow, I have just finished watching the Raptors game... watching Curry you feel something like "basketball is being hacked"
. This is absolutely mind-blowing stuff. The way he shoots from everywhere, without a moment of hesitation... and you already expect the swish every time...
The funniest parts are when he fakes out opponents at 9-10 meters from the basket.

And yes, he is closing games as well... dribbles up in a hurry, takes a half step back to make that very small distance from his primary defender, and buries his 8th three just a microsecond before the hand of the center running back in panic can reach the ball... then a simple high screen, and there goes the 9th three, just like that. Wow.
I can't find the words (with millions of others
).

Re: The Stephen Curry Thread (2015-16 Pt. 1)
Right now he epitomizes the term unguardable. Always a threat to pull up behind the line, even if he's 5-10 behind it. Let him go by you and he finishes as well as what you would expect from an elite 7'0 center. His handle is incredible, his mid range game is tremendous...right now Curry is in a tier of his own as the best player in the league and nobody else even belongs in the argument.

A couple years ago I said I thought Curry was the most skilled player in NBA history (offensively), and not many seemed to agree. Would anyone agree now?

Yes, and that's despite the three ball being the only thing he really (historically) stands out at. He's just so stupid good at shooting right now that it doesn't matter if anyone else could do this or that better.
