What sucks about winning?

Post#1 » by iTs JusT zo » Sun Dec 6, 2015 6:50 am

You know what sucks about winning and being a good team again? It hurts to lose :(

Welcome back magic fans! We are good again and we will get better every year from now for at least a decade if we keep our key peices and develope them or trade them for other key peices.

We had a break for a few years and stopped caring... Expecting to lose... We were happy! (or sad) .. Regardless of the magic.

Now... It hurts to lose. Now we scream and jump up and down in excitement and we bring back our magic jerseys in pride.

Now we randomly bring up the magic in conversations and tell everyone to jump on the wagon now before it officially becomes the bandwagon and you lose credibility.

Now we have sleepless nights and curse at the TV when we lose tough games :(

Welcome to the current and future partnership of the Orlando Magic and it's genuine fans :) it Hasnt been too long since we felt this way (since howard)...

But..

It is a blessing and a curse.
Yet even amid the suffering that results from sin...god's love is revealed.

I thought the worst thing about wining was people whining, then whining even louder when we lose a close game against a good team on the road.

It hurt to lose when we were losing all those games the past 3 years and it still hurt even as a better team.

The funny thing about being a competitive, "normal" team now is that... those teams lose games in annoying fashion as well! They blow 4th quarter leads (Clippers in the West playoffs last year, anyone??) and stink it up against bad teams. Just gotta keep grinding out as many wins as we can.

So true! Love it. Lost sleep last night but overall happy we are competing!

If they can turn around and win the next two somehow, this clippers loss will be forgotten.

It sucks and yet it's an awesome feeling to see your favorite team compete at a high level and have a chance to win each time we play. I'll take this feeling any day of the week than the crap we had to suffer through the past three seasons.

I agree, I'll take the pain of the loss and the optimism of our team seeking to get better from losses then what we had the past three seasons. Skiles has sooooo much knowledge to teach these guys. I truly feel he's the perfect coach for our team and the main reason were playing so well.

2 days off in a row on a road trip should be nice for our guys. Can't wait for some midweek magic

It doesn't suck because they had these similar games last season as a bottom dwelling team. This season they're competing and are over 500. at this point of the season for the first time in 3+ seasons. I don't like losing against good teams when the Magic have full control, but at least I can see that this team is in the thick of things when they play in every sing game, so it doesn't really hurt as much...

When expectations are higher and your team is actually playing for something, losing will always be more painful and frustrating. But I miss the feeling. Living intensely is great.

When this team returns to contention we will probably bring back the Dunce Caps. There was no point in having them back when we were taking so many Ls that it was the almost the norm.

Yeah, look at the Spurs, the 2nd best team with the best coach and 5 amazing players and their losses are to the Pelicans, Wizards, Thunder and Bulls. Combined record of 35-38. And yet it happens. The difference between the really good teams and the really bad teams is how often it happens. And if you are the Warriors it doesn't seem like it will ever happen, but they are definitely a freak anomaly.

Last year I would be like - here we go, 4th quarter, how can we choke this time. This year I am actually confident that we can make some plays and win the game.

After three seasons of traveling down the abysmal road of losing games, it's a great feeling to get back to just competing to win games period. I missed those good times and it's great to experience them once again.

3-2 on the road trip would be a win in my book. Handle business on Denver and we're in good shape.

What sucks about winning is the fans who don't like how the team is winning? The rotations, not playing their favorite players enough, etc etc.

Yeah, winning is winning. Not every win is the end all be all blueprint so people worry about their fav players minutes. You guys know who my favorite players are this year?

Elfrid Payton
Aaron Gordon
Evan Fournier
Shabazz Napier
C.J. Watson
Jason Smith
Channing Frye
Nic Vucevic
Victor Oladipo
Tyler Harvey
Mario Hezonja
Devyb Marble
Dwayne Dedmon
Andrew Nicholson
Tobias Harris

In no particular order.

Those are my favorite players, if we can get a win using any of those guys, I'm generally a really happy guy.
