To be fair, LeBron wanted to play and Blatt forced him to sit the game out.

And I don't blame him. It's a long season and decisions on whether LeBron plays or not shouldn't take into consideration how the opposing fans feel (especially when they hate his guts). With the career miles he has, coming off of 5 straight Finals, and taking into account the fact that he's averaging 37 mpg this year and having to pick up the slack left by the absence of Kyrie and Shumpert, it makes complete sense to sit him on the second night of a back-to-back where he played 45 minutes in an OT game and had to carry the team the first night.

Why play aginst a struggling team, and not your former team that's near the top of the conference at the moment? U should know Lebron by now to know that no one tells him to sit out, unleas it's his call or it's the final game of the year in which all players will agree to.

Well they couldn't predict that the Pelicans game would go to OT and LeBron would have to exert so much energy in 45 minutes of play. The original plan was obviously for him to play both games, but Blatt made the decision a few hours before the game. And they probably didn't expect to lose to the struggling Pelicans, so they figured that if you're going to rest LeBron at all, it might as well be when the team is playing terribly, tired after coming off an OT game the night before, and likely to lose anyways. Plus it makes sense to play LeBron against the team that you have a better chance of winning with him vs. without him.

I still don't buy that it was Blatt's call....I mean, we all know who runs the team, byt yeah, the OT probably played a role in him sitting out. I still don't like it. Injuries aside, suit up and play. Keep his minutes short...at least in the first half. The fact that he went partying afterwards makes him look bad.

But LeBron did say he wanted to play in all 82 games and reports say that LeBron wasn't happy about having to sit out. I think it's pretty established that Blatt made the call.

And he did party afterwards, but that doesn't really put any strain on him physically, which was the whole point of sitting him out. I don't have a problem with NBA players partying once in a while. He only drinks in the offseason, so he was pretty much just hanging out and socializing.

I honestly don't care if LeBron plays or not. That's Cleveland's problem/decision now. I just feel for the Heat fans that paid higher ticket prices for this game in hopes to see Miami beat LeBron but whatever; he's scared/he's not scared. It doesn't matter.
I also believe that Blatt made that suggestion first BUT LeBron can overrule that decision if he wants to. He didn't want to. Again, whatever. Move on.

He gets paid to play. Does he have a serious injury at the moment? We pay him to perform in front of all of us. Like I said, keep his minutes short early on. By the way, it was announced an hour before the game that he would not play. Why wasn't it announced the morning of? Kind of a dick move on his part. Yes, I believe it was his call.
