I'm guessing he might be fired soon, so lets see what people think.

Gains for about a week, until we can get our future full time coach signed.

I don't think Hornacek's the problem. I think if he gets fired we'll see another coach have the same issue, throw his hands up in there and say what the hell am I suppose to do. Once Kieff is off the team we'll start seeing players settle into their roles and accept them. Right now, everyone is in tryouts it seems for some minutes.

A couple things: if Thibs is our next coach, I will be very upset. He runs players into the ground, Bledsoe, Len, Tyson, Knight..all of them would explode with bad injuries. And Thibs is too stubborn to change and play his stars less, not a good head coach.

I would not mind Luke Walton, Curry or not 22 wins and counting is good.

I'm really starting to believe Hornaceck is costing us wins. Not that he is the only problem, but he can't draw up out of bounds plays and his rotations seem miserable at times, especially in 4th quarters. He also seems to be too slow to recognize the obvious. Markeiff should have been bench weeks ago, he took too long to play TJ last season, and took too long to start Len as well last season.
It really is a shame too, after his first year I thought we had our GM/Coach combo of the future. I still am adamant that McDonough is a fantastic GM, I think we have talent but are being held back by coaching errors and poor team chemistry. Trading Markieff fixes one problem and nailing the impending coach hiring this off season fixes the other. From there we just have to hope Knight/TJ/Booker/Rookie? Emerge as a number 1 option because Bledsoe would be a killer 2nd option.

I wouldn't mind Thibs. There are some negatives obviously, but it would be nice to see defense oriented Suns for once in my lifetime.

And hire Nash with him as offensive coordinator.

This is all fantasy tho. I think there is 0% chance either of these two being hired.

I'm well up for Thibs. I think he'll have taken learnings away from his Bulls tenure and as mentioned, if he can bring a good O-guy with him then it could be great.

I think what this team is lacking is discipline and Thibs would definitely bring that. Pity we didn't have it last season when the Morrii went into melt down.

Trade Markieff and see what Hornacek can do

But Thibs wouldn't be bad

I guess unless they don't know Thibs history with young guys, those who want him hired don't care much about those guys getting time.

If we have to select an interim coach I think Gaines or Bjorkgren can be good enough to replace Hornacek.

Look, when you lose 10 out of 11 games on a playoff race to end last season and you lose 9 out of 10 games ( counting tonight's game) this year when you are fighting for the playoffs you MUST be fired. It's that simple.

McDonough has acquired good players this offseason to bring experience and multiple options, but Hornacek has failed to make this roster work. It's not his first year here and he seems to have a friendly personality that is good sometimes but is really bad when you have to handle egos and not smart people. Not everyone on an NBA roster are gonna be like Nash or Hill, there are a ton of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) players out there and you like a HC has to control them.

He reacts slow and we fans see a lot of things that are needed to be done BEFORE him....it's conservative and he seems to be fear of player's reactions a lot.

I don't have nothing against Hornacek but I want my team to succeed.
Results. Results. That is all...he can not make this team working on the court for whatever reason, so another deserves the oportunity.

Well it seems like a foregone conclusion that he will be fired, and I'm guessing fairly soon.

I would really enjoy it if Sarver went full-court press and hired D'Antoni AND Thibs...offensive mastermind+defensive mastermind. It's worth a shot.
