A lot of the game was fun to watch, with everybody running around like crazy, but eventually Dallas stopped being distracted and just settled down and got themselves a lot of easy shots.

Why Hollins starts and plays 5 minutes I don't get. Why they don't just play Blair until he fouls out I also don't get. When was the last time he missed a shot?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I'm not that down on Neal. He gave us some much needed scoring.

You pick your poison choosing between Temple - an absolute train wreck on offense and Neal - a super streaky dude who's limited on defense.

But yes. I'm also pretty dissappointed that the franchise can't be disciplined enough to give Oubre a few minutes each night.

It again speaks to the lack of long term vision.

Historically Gary Neal has killed Dallas no matter where he is playing so maybe that played some into his heavy minutes(plus hte obvious lack of options).

Wall is a strange guy. This isn't the first time that he has played like crap for weeks then out of the blue start playing like he's All-NBA. Over the last 4 games he is averaging 28/10 shooting 54% from the field, 44% from 3.

On any given night any NBA player can play well. Neal had a good outing vs. Dallas. Meanwhile, poor Garrett Temple, when he was in the game, spent most of his time trying to defend Dirk Nowitzki! He picked up 4 fouls in 13 minutes in pursuit of that impossible mission.

As to Oubre, he needs to be playing a lot -- somewhere -- and it's worth noting that in the last 5 or so days, I've read a bunch of "X teams assigned Y rookie R1 pick to the D-League", something we seem unable to do -- as we have no D-League relationship of any kind? I guess?

I noticed that as-well, Tysus Jones just got sent down. This is a really unfortunate situation for KO, with all of the injuries he should be getting some minutes here since we have no D-League team or affiliate to send him to. The Wizards will be amongst the last teams to have a D-League teams, even Detroit has a team and they are losing money.

The Wizards are able to assign a player to the D-League even without an affiliate of their own, but the process is more complicated.

If they decided to send Oubre to the D-League, he'd be offered to every D-League team. If more than one team is interested, the Wizards get to choose which of those teams they send him to.

If none of the teams are interested, then he can still get assigned to one of the nine teams that are affiliated with other NBA teams, but control their own business operations. Apparently they hold some kind of a lottery to assign the player. The Wizards would get to decide whether they want to send Oubre to that team or not send him down at all.

Short of that, he could roll with my squad in the Bethesda coed intramural league.

Thanks for the clarification, sounds like a lot of hoops to go-through *Zing* :D

Earlier this year someone posted this tragicomic comments "Washington Izars - because there are no W's and no D".

Well...at least they play some defense, I guess.

Not so much this season. They're down to 22nd in defensive rating.

Well ... we should try to offer this coaching contract to Andre Miller. I believe he could be great or at least better than Randy.

Btw. I have this feeling that GSW will go through the league with sort of 40-0 and than face under-.500-Wizards to loose. Just because it's #SoWizards ;-)
