There was also some crazy MNF game with Lynn dickey against the Redskins I think in the early 80s that was supposed to be insane for its crazy scoring. I think I was in bed and not able to watch MNF those days.
October 17, 1983: Green Bay 48, Washington 47Do you remember the MNF game in Denver from about that same time in the snow? That was a fun one, although not as high scoring.
I was not allowed to watch MNF when I was a kid. Had school the next day.
My earliest memories of games was losing to the bears in miserable fashion. One of my earliest game memories I think '84 season's superbowl I was almost in tears that Dan Marino lost because I liked him and the Dolphins way more than Montana and the 49ers. Don't remember much, just feeling really bad for Marino.
I remember in middle school the joke we used to say, "What do the Packers and a pregnant woman have in common?" "They both let Dickey in too long." That was a super naughty joke for us back in the day.
But even then I do remember my bro and I playing football in the background it was always Dickey and Lofton. Or we played "Packers football" in the snow with our friends which meant we would pass the ball and fall down and fumble constantly. Ya we really called it "Packers football" who knew such good times were ahead.
