smith has been playing some excellent defense. he needs more minutes with dj and less with pierce.

pierce needs less minutes in general, he's just been not doing anything valuable on the court right now.

the team's all bench lineups are pretty horrendous, so getting dj in a little earlier could help out dramatically. no reason he can't play a few more minutes a game.

No Surprise

Missed the start of the game and tune it to see us down and with the refs blowing the call with the ball going out of bounds off the T-Wolves but still awarded possession of the ball with 9.6 seconds to go before half-time.

What a shot by Chris Paul with the really long-distance, buzzer-beating 3-point swish!

Paul needs to stop over dribbling the damn ball and let the offense run through Blake. The Clippers are clearly better when that happens.

two big jumpers and a steal as the game continues to count down. i didn't think he'd be wanting to take those shots as most role players would chicken out in this situation but he's showing he belongs. another good game for wes.

the set where dj got the alley oop was really smart. i really freaking wish we ran more offense than just winging it whenever second unit guys are on the floor. our stuff is too good.

Late-Game Momentum

Post#16 » by Ranma » Tue Dec 8, 2015 3:34 am

Nice job on defense and catching the T-Wolves off-balance on the fastbreak. Blake has to stop whining, though. We already have our hands full with the T-Wolves. No need to pick a fight with the refs tonight (or ever). Now they're reviewing the play that should go to the Clippers, anyway.

Glad that we hit our free throws and won the game. Road wins aren't easy so I'm glad we were able to pull this one out.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Timberwolves Jinx?

Post#19 » by Wammy Giveaway » Tue Dec 8, 2015 4:10 am

In 2007, Kevin Garnett was traded to the Boston Celtics. Another team wanted him: the Lakers, primarily Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant. Boston won The Big Ticket with their five-player farm trade, so the Lakers cast a spell on the Wolves. Beginning in the 2007-08 season, the Lakers won every single game against Minnesota 18 times. It was the longest winning streak between two franchises in Laker history. This is known as the Wolves jinx. And now, the Clippers have it.

The Clippers have won every single game against the Wolves going back to the 2012-13 season. In the lockout season, they lost the season series 3 games to 1, with the last meeting treated as a free game. Their winning streak against the Wolves is currently at 14 games in a row.

I predict every single game against the Timberwolves will be an automatic win. If this holds true, you might want to add two extra games in the win column, just in case.

This team looks a whole lot better when you already know they won and only watch the made FG playlist from the NBA stats page.
