A lot can happen over the course over a season and we are ranked #3 in the West which isn't that bad considering how bad the start of the season has felt.

I'm actually disappointed that we did transform into an entirely different team, one that doesn't look like they have any common sense, desire, or direction.

It's not like we have to be a completely different team. We've been clear contenders ever since...I'd even say 2011 (if Dirk doesn't go into GOAT mode we certainly advance to the finals). We don't need all that much to be the best team in the league. Here's a list of things that need to be adressed in my opinion:

-Improve defensively. We're in top 10 right now, but I'm not sold by a long shot. We have to get a lot better, or else we don't eve have to talk about advancing to the WCF.
-Play smarter. We still make so many stupid plays. For certain stretches we still look like a rookie team and not like a team with multiple years of contending under its belt.
-We have to become more flexible. It can't just be "Your turn, my turn".
-Billy has to recognize that certain things work and certain other things don't.

While we still have time, I have serious doubts we can still put it together. I think it more plausible that Presti trades for yet another bust that show be better. I hear MCW isn't doing so well for Kidd.

I understand Billy playing Kyle Singler and the bench more just to gain some consistency but I agree. We need to make some actual rotations.

I don't see inconsistency as the problem. They've been quite consistent - consistently bad.

Chalmers flops on one end, no call as it should be, takes the ball and runs down the floor out of control and essentially trips himself up and gets rewarded with FTs. And they reward him a B.S. three shot foul. What a load of crap.

That might've ben a foul, but to give him three shots and call it a shooting foul is a terrible call.

The Grizzlies have actually missed all three of their 3s so far. Unfortunately every missed three has resulted in an offensive rebound for the Grizzlies.

Nice finish by Waiters. Should've been an and-one.

When are we going to stop trying to throw 50 foot bounce passes through 3-4 defenders on the fastbreak?

I'm giving Donovan some credit here, the defense has been trending upwards ever since KD got back. The shooters have gone cold and the offense has fizzled, but we've stayed in games with defense.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Beautiful play. Not sure how it wasn't an and-one, but still very nice two-man action between KD and Russ.

I love KD trying to get Roberson involved, but if Roberson isn't going to shoot it when he's wide-open on the wing or in the corner, KD's just gonna have to start taking the open-ish 12-18 footers if the defense doesn't totally collapse like on that last play.

KD looks like 2014 KD tonight. He has that extra bounce in his step on both ends that I'm not sure we've seen from him all year.

I love Robes.
