It still blows my mind.

No verification that this rumour was true pertaining to Curry. I get that he had injuries, but his stats were still very promising when he actually played. And even if true, the fact that they were looking for a "superstar" in return put us WAY out of the running in 2011. DD was probably our "best" player in 2011 and even then his stock wasn't THAT high that year as a prospect.

I see absolutely no proof we could have had him. We were not in great shape in 2011 either capwise or prospect wise.

The best player we TRULY passed up in our history was probably DWade, in 2003. He was picked one spot after Bosh.

Agreed, and in all fairness I did say the rest of the NBA missed out on the opportunity of trading for him as well. We weren't in the running or anything but I would have given up anyone on the roster+whatever picks they wanted.

I do think he was on the block, part of it was probably chcking to see which of the two guards would net a greater return.

I completely forgot about Wade, we would have had our 2nd franchise level player in Raptor history if the 03 draft went our way. I can't harp on the Bosh pick though.

This draft increasingly looks worse to me in retrospect. The difference between just a nice all-star calibre player and a game changer is pretty vast. This league is literally littered with dozens of players who put up all-star numbers, but only a select few players can really turn a franchise around to become a contender nearly on their own. Considering the shape of the East back in the 2000s, we could have really made noise. Maybe we make the playoffs in 03-04 and Vince doesn't demand a trade. With Wade and Vince from 2005-2009 we could have made serious noise.

No offense to Bosh, but he wasn't really a big changing player--good numbers and efficient player, but he lacked the dominant defense and didn't have the passing skills to control an offense from the frontcourt (unlike KG). I'm increasingly convinced that people will see that Lowry is a bigger impact player than Bosh was too.

I have never seen anything like what the Warriors did in the 1st half of this game.

11 shots for 29 points....the other Splash Brother woke up.

Klay made more threes this half than DD has this season

Warriors fans went from the most humble in the league to most cocky in only 1 year.

I wish someday we could do the same. :(

Honestly where does the NBA go from here? I can see more and more teams emulating the Warriors style of offense, of course with varying results.

Maybe in the not too distance future there'll be guards who avg 10 3 PT attempts a game. What a time to be alive.

Pace of this game has been really fast though. Even though they scored 79...Pacers still scored 60.

Down 19 isn't insurmountable...;)

It's funny how you say that Vince and Wade would have made some noise. Vince was probably the reason we didn't draft Wade since we were supposed to be set at SG with Vince. We drafted for need with Bosh rather than BPA and we had a woeful lack of young talent in the frontcourt. Although from what I remember, Bosh and Wade may have been a toss up for the 4th and 5th pick.

Hopefully this lead will grow so they pull Klay, keeping Donnell's record intact. It's always amazed me that the record hasn't been broken. If it doesn't happen tonight, I feel like someone will hit at least 13 triples in a game this season.

He's a pretty interesting player because he isn't totally robotic like most of the guys his size, he's pretty fluid and isn't Aaron Gray-level slow and lead-footed. That move where he put the ball over Jahlil Okafor's head was hilarious, but also pretty smart.

PG13 coming off his 48 points.
In this new NBA, with all those 3 and that 22-0; it makes it difficult to pick anyone else but that Marksman as the best player in the league..but no doubt who the best ALL-AROUND player is right now! Paul George!

Curious, are you broke now after these statements?
I would never bet against Warriors or Spurs, odds never good enough.

Do you guys know if the Warrior's player's like to party and stuff when they are on the road? Or are they 100% dedicated to basketball?

 I lost a few coins on this one (but nothing devastating)! I was so sure about this game but Monta did not come through as I had hoped (against his former team)

Apparently allot of them go to church together and have families that hang out. They probably go out though.

Don't know if it warranted its own thread, but Big Al has been suspended five games for violating the NBA Anti-Drug Program.

Dang, Al of all people. Who knows what it could be?
