Food for thought.
The wiz took 92 shots to our 69, & out rebounded us on the offensive glass 12 - 4.
That is unacceptable to a team that was missing their starting center, starting power forward, & 1st big off the bench. :nonono:
But what really kills me is that we let them shoot 50.% from the field, & 50.% from 3.

I wish Pat Riley would walk into Spo's office & smack him on the back of his head, & ask him what the hell are you doing? & then pull out one of his old playbooks that he would use with Kareem, Ewing, & Zo & slam it on his table & tell Spo to learn how to use his bigs, or else he is coming out of retirement. :upset:

By having the right personnel

Last year we got someone like Danny Granger to try to be BATTIER, playing PF. Our small ball when we did it, we had hall of famers in their prime with top notch role players

We need the right guys, and having guys who can't space the floor does 't cut it. MULTIPLE guys that is.

Small ball is about space and our small ball doesn't do that. Helps when you have athleticism too, and compared to past years, we don't have much of that either. Need that for hustle, rebounds and energy when you are too small.

So basically get a time machine to go back to 2011.

Or go after Pual Gorge, Blake Griffin, Durant - stars with perimeter skills that can play as a big too.

We already got Mcbob who is a poors man version of that (he just needs to get his 3 point shot going),
And we got Bosh who is probably the best Smallball Center out there
Winslow could grow to that type of player if he just improves his outside shot (strong enough to guard PF)

We need a coach who knows how to effectively use big men. Our small ball lineups suck because we have below average shooters. Spo is looking like a system coach with the wrong personnel. He needs to adjust and find a way to maximize the talent he has.

Bosh prefers playing PF and Wade thrives with bigs who can finish. Why can't this be a happy marriage?
