At this point, Booker is probably the only player on this team that I would consider untradeable. I just would not risk it. He is already a starter level NBA player and his upside is a 6'5" Steph Curry.

Kid is smooth. Makes all the right decisions. When there's a player in a better position, he gets the ball to them. When defenders gives him space, he takes the easy shot. He reads plays surprisingly well for such a young kid and it's even more surprising when you consider he came off the bench in the one season of college ball he played.
This is why Booker gets minutes and Archie doesn't. Booker is always in control, he doesn't rush anything, whether it's shots, drives or passes. Archie just looks lost out there sometimes and he only seems in his element when he's iso'd a mismatch. Oh and it helps to have a killer 3 ball too.
You can't teach swag and confidence! Booker has both in an ultra smooth kind of way too. He had only one game where I remember, dang he's still a couple years away, but he'll develop. He's a mix of Klay/Hayward IMO.It's too bad he's only 6'4.5 without shoes (according to draftexpres) or else I'd want him to start the three.

Re: DEVIN BOOKER
I love my SG to be in the 6'6" range. I like the old school size, but with the modern ability to hit the 3 with high efficiency.
Right now, he looks solid on defense as well. Seems to have decent man defense skills, and has the high IQ that will help him learn team defense.
Handles look good for a SG so far. Not great or elite yet, but good enough for him to get to the rim. If he can develop elite level handles he will be an overall elite player.

Devin Booker is a baller. Congrats on having a future stud SG. His shot is too pure.

Don't want to get too carried away, but Booker's following the prototype of the very best SGs.
His perceived weakness - finishing at the rim, he's very good at so far.
It's hard to not see him at minimum become Redick or Korver, with upside to an even higher level.
Got character and age on his side too, and if he can play well in our mediocre set up, he'll be even better in time.
Amazing that it's a hard choice between him and Warren in just 6 weeks. McD gets credit for those 2.

Take a look at Warren's shot chart. The amazing thing about it is that it seems that he has no particular sweet spot. He literally scores from everywhere.

Here's a more easily-visualized shot-chart, IMO: http://vorped.com/1-nba/2015-2016/player/1849/tj-warren/shotchart/ . Click on "zones"

i don't think Curry is a good comparison (even if their skillset or style were similar holy crap that's just unfair to compare him to the most unstoppable shooter we've ever seen)
but i agree that he is probably the only player i would consider untradeable. the return owuld have to be outrageous for me to want to include either Booker or Bledsoe. after that I'm fond of Knight, Len, and Warren about equally as 'assets' but could imagine trading them for similar value to another team
in a few years Booker might be better than Bledsoe is now. i don't think he will be but even the chance to have that caliber of player is worth a lot

I think Booker is already a smarter player than Bledsoe and obviously a better shooter. I'd be surprised if he isn't better than Bledsoe in a few years or even sooner than that. But it's subjective, because I don't think he will likely be as good at steals or blocks, and probably not as good at defense or rebounding, but for offensive efficiency, I think he could/will be far better. Obviously comparing anyone to Curry is unfair, especially considering he is on pace to beat his record of 3 ptrs (286) by like 160 or something like that.
But when I think of people who's game Booker kind of resembles, he does pop into my mind, just because he is a REALLY good shooter and he appears to be a very good passer too. I guess you could say Klay is the better comp though...just a younger version.
Obviously he has a very small sample size, but a comparison of their first years. I think as he gets more minutes, his assists will go up, but sometimes with two point guards and being mostly a spot up shooter, sometimes you won't get as many. Per 36 # comparisons interesting though.

most of the times I've found myself saying 'OMG Booker is for real' have been thigns he does off ball. and when he has impressed me with his passing it has been in transition i think. maybe he could become a more ball-dominant guard but we've got a couple of those already so i'm not hoping for that
it's fun to think about the 'value' of players as 'assets,' even tho we might need to hire Jerry Colangelo to counsel us if we do it too much.
i agree with what you said about Booker's potential, I just place a heavy discount on a bird in the hand. the amount of things that could prevent Booker from becoming an all-star level player are, literally, infinite in number. Bledsoe is already there. but yah Booker could be even more someday..

Re: DEVIN BOOKER
What's impressed me more than his surprising dribble drive ability is how cerebral he is. He makes the right decisions and the only thing he's really lacking at this stage of his development is more time on the court. It's insane how smart the kid is already. The way he moves he moves off the ball isn't to get himself the ball but he does it to open up opportunities for the team. That's some very high level play reading. He sets subtle screens, gets himself open for outlet passes when our guys gets stuck and he's made a few TJ-esque back-door cuts too, although not all made it to him.
I do like the Klay comparison much more than the Korver/Reddick ones since I see him as more versatile than the two pure-shooters.

Re: DEVIN BOOKER
The one thing frustrating me is that he NEEDS to have some great plays drawn up for him to free him up for the three. Thats not on him at all though. The way he shoots 3s, they should be running screens for him constantly. I think this will happen soon.

Of course, that second stat would mean more if there were more NBA players who actually played when they were that young.

Re: DEVIN BOOKER
The kid is pure joy to watch. not just his shooting, but the way his passes are always on time and rarely get tipped, he pays spirited defense (has to get stronger, will come with time), and his overall energy on the bench and on the court when his team makes a play. The excitement oozes out of him with every play made, you always see him celebrating, congratulating teammates and just beaming pure energy after good and big plays. His vibe is just sooo good!!!
