sometimes i see the C make a good rim protecting defensive play and i'm like oh wow, good job, dj! he's getting better!

then i realize it's josh smith and i immediately re-lower my dj expectations.

Jamal Crawford just got T'd up for a non-call on a foul he wanted on his pull-up shot. Isn't that like Crawford's 2nd technical foul ever after receiving his 1st ever last season? The B'ing and whining now pervades throughout the roster.

I missed it, but based on Woike's tweet below, Doc may be staggering the lineup to get the Big 3 primed to play most of the 4th quarter given that the game was still close at that point.

Doc finally seeing the light? Hallelujah! I would say better late than never, but he's been so slow to realize things individually, that the whole package has been disappointing. He was slow to realize the importance of bench depth. He finally started fouling the shooter before a 3-point attempt when up by 3 points. He started putting the emphasis on rebounding. He's now staggering the subsitutions of the Big 3. And now defense.

There's still plenty to work on, Doc. Like finding the proper fits to your team and system. How about putting players in roles that they can succeed? Any idea when you'll get around to developing the rooks? How about investing time and resources into drafting the right players?

Smith totally F'd up that possession before the half. Was supposed to switch. End of quarter possession, shot clock running down, pick and fade with two guards (Middleton as screener) and Pierce unable to help off Monroe in the paint.
