ATL Week 14

Unless the Viking offense uncharacteristically explodes, I don't see how they win Thursday. I'm guessing the team thought they had had little chance of winning anyway, so they're saving Barr and Smith for the home stretch.

I listen to that show...Meatsauce is their punching bag comedy act. I'm assuming he's going to be right, but I'm not sure how reliable he is. He might be just saying that tongue-in-cheek right now.

I think the Vikings may lose out. I think they will still make the playoffs.

I'm still torn on the Thursday game. I know we'll have the tie breaker with Minny if we beat them the last week but I'd still like a cushion and I want to win the division. Of course I'd like to win the division AND the #2 seed ... Tough choice
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Rooting for Minny even though they don't have a chance. Don't really care about the division.

Yeah it's a tough spot if you're a Packer fan.

I don't think the Packers will win out in these final 4 games so to me it would probably be more beneficial if the Vikings lose to at least help us control our destiny for the division going into that week 17 game vs the Vikings.

If I thought the Packers had a shot at winning out in these final 4 games I might actually wear some Vikings apparel for the first time in my life Thursday.I'd love that #2 seed obviously,I think the biggest gap in playoff seeding in pro sports is the #2 seed and #3 seed in the NFL.

Only having to win 1 game at home vs a wild card team who played the previous week while you rested is a world of difference from having to win 2 games, one of which will be on the road vs a rested top seed to make it to the NFC Championship game.

Another crazy thing is that it is looking like the Packers and Vikings will probably rematch in the Wild card game after facing each other week 17.Same thing happened in 2012 and almost happened in 2004,in 2004 we played the Vikings week 16 then Randy Moss mooned us 2 weeks later in the wild card game.

But the Panthers are Cards are pretty much locked into the #1 and #2 seeds, the NFC east winner is locked into the #4 seed. The Seahawks are hot and have an easy schedule and own the tie breaker with the Vikes locking them probably into the # 5 seed and a match up vs the NFC east winner.

Leaving the Packers and Vikings locked into the #3 vs #6 match up.

And if the Packers get their groove back (not holding my breath) a Seahawks Packers NFC Championship re-match wouldn't be far fetched at all.

The Seahawks will destroy the NFC east winner and even with the Packers not playing great football I would still favor them at home vs the Vikings.Which would send the Seahawks to Carolina and I would heavily favor Seattle in that game. All it would take is for Rodgers to channel his inner Godgers for 1 game and I think we could beat Arizona.

Which would set up our NFC Championship re-match at Lambeau field where Bart Starr presents the Packers with the George Halas trophy after the game. Then Rodgers wins his second ring on the field of his childhood team who snubbed him the draft.

Hey it's a dream,but not the craziest one I ever had...lol.

As crappy as we've played at home this season I still want that #3 seed and at least one home game.

I agree, being the road wild card team would have a one and done feel to me.If we want any shot at doing something in the playoffs I think it's huge that we at least start out at home in the first game.

You get that first game at home you not only have a better shot at a win but with that win you get some momentum that could maybe snowball going into a game on the road vs Arizona or Carolina.

And Rodgers is capable of a Godgers type of game any given game,so the more games you make it to the greater chance you have of seeing Godgers make an appearance. You go on the road and lose you're done obviously, but who knows maybe you ride the home field to a close win vs the Vikings then Rodgers goes 2010 Atlanta on the Cards or something.

Really glad I read Football Meteorology or I would've missed this. Vikings Bingo!

I know we need the Vikes to win for the #2 seed, but I also want the division to be a sure thing. I think I'm just going to root for them to beat the hell out of each other. I don't see how the Vikes win without Bridgewater having the best game of his career though.

Rooting for the Cardinals to lose tonight, then lose again to GB, then beat Sea, while GB wins out to get the #2 seed. But if the Cardinals win, they can still lose to GB and Seattle, and if GB wins out, GB still gets the #2 seed. Anyway, would really like that #2 seed and the bye. I think our guys could use that week.

Is there a realistic scenario where the Packers don't have a chance to get a bye, but could have the division wrapped up and be able to rest their starters against Minn?

Yes, if Minn loses tonight and GB beats Dallas, then GB is 9-4 and Minn is 8-5. GB has to win 1 more game than Minn over the following two week; GB has to be two games ahead of Minn for Week 17 to give them the luxury of resting vs Minn. If we lose to Minn in Week 17 and so we end up tied with them, I believe they'd have the tiebreaker based on division record.

Surprised it's 10-10 at halftime. I guess (don't have NFL Network) the Vikings are playing tough, or AZ playing bad?, even with their defensive stars out.
