This is why Tyson is so important to this team. His "we are not potted-plants" type of conversation with the guards about using the centers offensively, was absolutely essential. That has been the problem with Knight so far over his career. He does not include his teammates enough in the offense, creating agitation and discouragement. Tyson just told him.
Chandler and Len have the Suns’ two lowest offensive ratings for how many points the Suns score when they are on the court. Each clearly helps defensively because the Suns do not have a rim protector or lane enforcer without them, but Chandler said he spoke to Len and the guards before Wednesday’s win against Orlando about using the centers more.
Len had his best NBA game with 20 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks in 36 minutes.
“We’ve got to make sure night in and night out that we’re involved and we’re a focal point because you’ve got to use your weapons,” Chandler said. “Sitting back and watching, I’m seeing a lot of opportunities.
